I'm starting to think Seth is just trying to sink Family Guy.
It's hard to sink something that can best be classified as the bottom feeder of humor.
Urm it's a comedy show. Nothing is off limit when it comes to comedy.
if it's handled well, fair enough. The making light of abuse in the episode wasn't the part that bothered me, it was the way they'd written quagmire's speech to his sister. It was handled terribly and there wasn't any humour intended, it seems like it was written by a person with no experience in domestic abuse
family guy making jokes at the expense of a serious topic in poor taste? this is really nothing new.

Since most the insensitive jokes came from Peter, it just seemed like their natural routine. The only part where they fucked up was that speech, and it seemed like it more of a concession to the people who objected then a actual thing they wanted to include. If you took quagmire's speech and made it about a drug addict, you wouldn't have to do much editing, which is a bad thing. [editline]9th November 2011[/editline] Also the title is misleading. This is far better than some of the musicals they have included, remember this?
Family Guy used to be funny.
I just watched the episode. The damn thing is more of a domestic violence awareness episode than everything. Not that funny, but not at all making fun of domestic violence. Its more sad than anything.
Yeah they pretty much stated why it goes on and why nothing is done about it. I don't see how it's offensive to state what is true.

That section is completely serious, and that's the worst part because it's so naive and stupid
