I can't believe so many people on FP stick up for Assange. What he does is illegal, and does in fact put people in danger. Whether or not it is intentional.
I can't believe so many people on FP stick up for Assange. What he does is illegal, and does in fact put people in danger.
I can't believe so many people on FP stick up for Assange. What he does is illegal, and does in fact put people in danger. Whether or not it is intentional.
Sorry for not conforming
Bud, you aren't a whistleblower. A whistleblower is only out to release information which unveils corruption or illegal activity. You release EVERYTHING. Whistleblower laws do not protect you because you actively aid and abet people in the theft of government property regardless of its effects on the population.
Even if this is so, the "Whistleblowing" was done in reference to the United States. Australia, as he is a citizen of Australia, should do it's duties to protect him. It's fucking ridiculous that his own country would see him arrested and deported to face charges which are not even relevant.
Of course they abandoned you dumbass. Does he honestly think Australia would support his actions?
Of course they abandoned you dumbass. Does he honestly think Australia would support his actions?
Based on some of the laws there, the Australian government obviously hates its citizens so no.
He isn't even doing anything wrong really.
I'm just going to put my fingers in my ears and loudly go "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA" and pretend this Wikileaks thing never happened because I'm a teenager still so I can do that shit.
Even if this is so, the "Whistleblowing" was done in reference to the United States. Australia, as he is a citizen of Australia, should do it's duties to protect him. Australia is completely within its rights to work with the US against Assange. Again, aiding and abetting.
How stupid do you have to be to believe that the Australian government would help him out after this? Regardless of what is right, he should have known that he would be hunted down after this.
Based on some of the laws there, the Australian government obviously hates its citizens so no.
Based on what laws, exactly. If you're talking about video games classification and small breasts, they're hardly an example of the Australian government "hating its citizens".
It'd be a bitch if he really did rape someone and made this whole thing to make the public think the government is setting him up. Not saying that DID happen, just a thought.
He just got unperson'd
Even if this is so, the "Whistleblowing" was done in reference to the United States. Australia, as he is a citizen of Australia, should do it's duties to protect him. Am I missing something here or am I that confused?
Did he? Did he really? Honestly?
I would have to say no, but I wonder if there is a crime such as "accessory to treason".
It's funny because he left Australia a long time ago, and has been on the move ever since. He has no fixed address.
Based on what laws, exactly. If you're talking about video games classification and small breasts, they're hardly an example of the Australian government "hating its citizens".
Things like the internet censorship bill show the government is more apt to line its pockets by placating the lobbyists than representing the people who voted them in And I'm not saying Australia is alone in doing this
I think this is the tipping point for internet censorship. You guys want your rights? Then stand up tall. If not just roll over and forget about what transgressed with wikileaks. Allowing the floodgates of hidden censorship to occur.
Did he? Did he really? Honestly?
Well, yes.
Based on what laws, exactly. If you're talking about video games classification and small breasts, they're hardly an example of the Australian government "hating its citizens".
Censorship etc
Did he? Did he really? Honestly?
The materials distributed were stolen from the US government. Knowingly aiding a felon is a serious crime.
Things like the internet censorship bill show the government is more apt to line its pockets by placating the lobbyists than representing the people who voted them in And I'm not saying Australia is alone in doing this
Depends on what they're censoring. Illegal? Good, go for it. Small breasts, not so much. Regardless, that is /hardly/ an indication that the Australian Government has no care for its citizens. Really, quoting one minor example doesn't prove the magnitude of what you're saying.
Julian Assange doesn't know if the stuff he is sent is stolen or not. It's not knowingly aiding a felon.
