I don't know why you guys are complaining anyway, the name Applejack would never make it because as soon as they even thought about putting the name on the bottle, a thousand fucking lawsuits would fly their way from Hasbro, cereal and alcohol companies alike. It's just text on the internet.
That would be like coca-cola suing you for naming your drink "Old grannie's cola" You simply can't trademark the type of food item iirc. [editline]14th August 2012[/editline] Wow I guess I'm wrong. The current trademark system is fucked.

An alcoholic beverage. C. An MLP character. I really don't see the issue with trademarking the names since they are all used in different context. It's not like the term is used often in describing generic items like the words "soda" or "cola."
Fuck it was supposed to be "hitler did nothing wrong" Those guys can't commit You know the ones i'm talking about. TEHEE LOL
I hope they pick Moist Nugget
You know how much publicity they'd get if they actually named it "Diabeetus" since the sheer surprise of it would get so many people buying it if for nothing more than novelty.
And they have the original Diabeetus guy do a commercial for it. :v:
When I hear applejack, I think of the booze long before I even think of the mlp character. IMO they most definitely set up their competition so that they could pick from the top -10 names or something in the small print. And then inserted a fall-back name that they came up with themselves into the top-10 list and make it automatically increment so that it stays in position 6 in the list. At least that's what I'd do if I was a super-corporation posing a product naming poll to the mean ol' internet.
Applejack isn't a bad name but im sure the owners of the achohol would have something to say about it when they're both beverages.
why can't i stop imagining them actually producing 'Hitler did nothing wrong' and putting mein fuhrer on the bottle
wine with his face on is already being sold in italy

Can we get real mountain dew in the UK and not that mountain dew energy crap? please :(
Gushing Grannies is my favourite, it's hilarious, moreso than Diabeetus but Hitler Did Nothing Wrong is a close second.
Dub the Dew definitely lost to The Internet. It was a local customer program, not a Dew one, and we're helping them clean up
https://twitter.com/mtn_dew/status/235393015512961025
"Lost to the internet" Unfortunately, they had to learn the hardway.
Gushing Granny would've been appropriate for the drink.
MLP shit is only the largest forced meme of all time. Pretty sure we all know a little bit about the show now due to ponyfags.
It's not a "forced meme", it's just people who like the show. But can we not fight over this? This is a thread about Mtn Dew, not about ponies.
