In Japan, Homefront's North Korea enemies will be replaced by Canadians

Well shit an invasion of the US by Canada is just as likely as an invasion by North Korea.
At least they have the manpower to take over America.

They don't mean to the north of the US, Kotaku is completely misinterpreting this. Their source article doesn't even mention Canada once
This has to be the explanation, I just couldn't imagine a game involving Canada as an invading country
Reminds me of some game idea I had when I was in middle school, where Soviet spies take over Canada and invade the U.S.
That's Bad Company 3.
Well at least it's properly original.
Russia invading: Done so many times it's not funny.
China invading: Same as above.
Nazis or old empires: At least 10 times
Heck we've even had the EU invade the US, twice.
Canada and Austrailia are pretty much the only ones that have never invaded the US (well and Mexico).
Which games did the EU invade in?
Wait, people live in Canada?
But how would it work? Canada's forces are weak. We could nuke them off the planet if we felt like it
Why would we nuke a country to hell so close to our borders? Stupidest idea ever.
Why Canada? Canada is innocent, it never does anything bad :saddowns:
Justin Bieber.
What the?
Do they really expect the company making Homefront to replace:
Every single NK logo
Every single uniform
ALL of the footage
Ect.
It's a known fact that we are so damn nice, we could bump off at least three or four countries before the world would catch on that's it's us that is doing it.
Witness the tyrannical boot of the Canadian army stomping down on the US through the use of foreign aid and paperwork.
And commanding the skies will be our new Apache helicopter.
Just the one.
FYI don't expect Canadian army marching through the US.
They will be the same asian soldiers, except the flags and signs are reskinned to some fictional country.

Heavily ninjad
In the japanese version, when you play as canada, you are equipped with bags of milk for healing.
What the christ?

Fuck, if we went to war, we'd have to take the submarine out of the Edmonton Mall. That's half of our naval force.

I remember riding in that thing when I was a kid.
Does this mean that Canada invaded the US successfully and took over?
How the fuck would that ever work?
They used their bagged milk for the first offense, which threw our military forces into disarray.
That would be so much better then shooting North Koreans.
I'm Canadian, too.
The setting is still in the United States. Just because the game is sold to Japanese people doesn't mean the setting automatically changes to Japan. And what is considered a northern country to the game's setting? Oh right, Canada.

Yes I agree. Those British regulars stationed in Canada really kicked our ass with that draw. Your militia didn't do shit.

Were RIGHT next to you, you dumbfuck. If you nuked us you would nuke your selves. That is unless nuclear fallout gets detained at the border...
EDIT: I'm right EH? :smug:
It's further North than half the country
