holy god 115 degrees plus humidity that is straight up hell on earth
I remember one summer when my AC was out for 3 weeks and temps in Florida were at like a record high and florida humidity was like 100% as it always is
it smelled so fucking bad
My dad was in Okinawa and it got to 100 F with 110% humidity. He said it was horrible.
The addition of humidity with the heat and the lack of access to things like a/c and lots of available water is a recipe for disaster. Jesus, hope this gets over soon

Okinawa is a great place to live for the weather, unless it's March, April, May, June, July, August, September, or October!
I've been in 100% humidity 40c here in Queensland and out west a few times now. It's fucking mad... my dad grew up on the stations out bush where it could near 50c quite a lot, they'd have to piss on their motorbike motors to cool them off just enough to keep em going to crawl to the next waterhole. Many many stories about nearly dying out there many days.
So 48c? I feel for these guys in a very unique way. People make jabs about folk dying in heat but I'm surprised MORE aren't dying. It's hard to BREATHE in that kind of temperature. I have a friend in India I haven't spoken to in a long while, hope she's ok :(
I remember being in las vegas when I was a kid. Some days it would reach 115 degrees f. Was pretty bad sure, but when it's recess and your on the blacktop you literally feel like you're going to die.
Been to Vegas last year in July. It was pretty damn hot for sure, but it was dry heat. Over here in Buenos Aires it's so-humid-you-drown-in-a-pool-of-your-sweat heat. Even though I kept myself pretty covered, I remember being surprised that I wasn't sweating as much as I expected.
And I take pride in hating hot temperatures, but it was certainly more tolerable than the summer in BA, at least to me.

As a matter of fact, if I had to choose, I'd certainly go for the dry LV heat, instead of the fucking humid BA heat.
