[QUOTE=rinoaff33;36546060]It's just dry skin that has peeled off...have you never had a sunburn?[/QUOTE] That picture is actually easily a second degree burn, which is very serious. You can get second (and third in that the nerves are actually killed) burns from severe sun exposure.
I just snorted a line of sunscreen, you guys have to try this shit.
I had terrible sunburn just a few weeks ago on my arms and legs for just being outside for 3 hours without suncream in the UK. I could barely move for a week, that picture looks 100x worse than what I had.
put an IMG tag on that picture OP it's disgusting

They banned sunscreen? Shit, in Australia it's illegal for schools not to have the stuff available at all times Oh well, cancers better than drugs amirite? [img]http://sae.tweek.us/static/images/emoticons/emot-downs.gif[/img]

[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]lol shut the fuck up, entering sunlight is not bad for you, rubbing some mystery shit on your skin in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken might be[/QUOTE] um, except it isn't "mystery shit", it's just a coating that absorbs or reflects a certain amount of UV radiation (depending on the SPF) so that you don't get debilitating sunburns... this is especially true for pale folk [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] just to clarify, in the long run, being in sunlight for extended periods of time IS bad for you [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] keyword extended
[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]lol shut the fuck up, entering sunlight is not bad for you, rubbing some mystery shit on your skin in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken might be[/QUOTE] You're clearly not very smart. Do you know what sunburn is? Sunstroke? Do you know that sunscreens have been tested for years and years and are pretty damn safe to rub on your skin and do in fact help avoid sunburns which can be very painful and very shitty. grow up.
[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]lol shut the fuck up, entering sunlight is not bad for you, rubbing some mystery shit on your skin in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken might be[/QUOTE] That post is arrogant and ridiculous. If you're trolling, knock it off.
[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]lol shut the fuck up, entering sunlight is not bad for you, rubbing some mystery shit on your skin in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken might be[/QUOTE] i can't comprehend whatever incessant shit you're trying to put forth

[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]lol shut the fuck up, entering sunlight is not bad for you[/QUOTE] [URL="http://www.epa.gov/sunwise/uvandhealth.html"]"Each year, more new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. than new cases of breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancer combined."[/URL] [URL="http://www.skincarephysicians.com/skincancernet/whatis.html"]"...approximately one person dies from melanoma every hour."[/URL] Sure, let's not protect our skin when we spend extended periods of time outside! [QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36546981]rubbing some mystery shit on your skin in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken might be[/QUOTE] Sunscreen isn't some new, experimental, mystery drug. It's a commonly used household product and has been proven time and time again to prevent sunburns and skin cancer.
Democracy, ho!
im just just mentally ill and bored leave me alone
[QUOTE=Pelvic Thrust;36547286]im just just mentally ill and bored leave me alone[/QUOTE] Snip your post and shut up then? Then no one will have a problem with you!
In Australia, that's basically asking for a big 'Ol dose of Skin Cancer and some really bad sunburn to go with it.
[QUOTE=SomeDumbShit;36546131]Was the image really necessary, its nice to read the news and eat breakfast at the same time and that doesn't exactly make it easy.[/QUOTE] Life is pretty tough for you.
Apparently they're looking at reevaluating the policy towards sunscreen as this incident has proven without a doubt that sending children into the sun for extended periods of time without suncreen leads to sunburn. Washington State Law is retarded.
Jesus, this disgusts me, even moreso since I've already had to have some potentially cancerous moles lanced. I practically survive by applying generous amounts of sunscreen I don't even see how they could possibly categorize the stuff as a drug. What's sunscreen abuse gonna do to a person, give them too much sun protection? I guess this is just another example of why these 'zero tolerance' policies are complete and utter bullshit. And banning sun hats too? That really is pretty damn ridiculous.
[QUOTE=Zally13;36546264]The ban on hats is a bit silly, I believe. Our school says it's a distraction, although I think that's utter bullshit.[/QUOTE] I don't agree with a ban on hats, however there should be some rule that you take your hat off when inside of a building.
[QUOTE=Reds;36546093]God, schools are so incredibly paranoid about absolutely fucking everything.[/QUOTE] not surprising considering the sheer amount of frivolous lawsuits they keep getting hit with by parents when anything goes wrong.
Seems to me like you guys didn't read the thread [sp]what a surprise[/sp] They're not whining about sunscreen because kids will do something with it to get high, they're whining about it because some kid could have an extreme allergic reaction to it
[QUOTE=Dr.C;36550813]Seems to me like you guys didn't read the thread [sp]what a surprise[/sp] They're not whining about sunscreen because kids will do something with it to get high, they're whining about it because some kid could have an extreme allergic reaction to it[/QUOTE] And someone could have a bad allergic reaction to the brand of spray deodorant that you use in the locker, or the pollen from the flowers in the school garden, or the trees at the school or maybe even the type of shampoo you use leaves a chemical scent they are allergic to. Lack of sunscreen is more dangerous to a persons overall health than the minimal chance of a previously unknown allergic reaction to it.
[QUOTE=rinoaff33;36546060]It's just dry skin that has peeled off...have you never had a sunburn?[/QUOTE] I had sunburn, it was never that bad. Like holy fuck.
[QUOTE=Mr. N;36551058]I had sunburn, it was never that bad. Like holy fuck.[/QUOTE] That sunburn looks fairly mild actually.
[QUOTE=wraithcat;36551116]That sunburn looks fairly mild actually.[/QUOTE] To those who have delicate skin that is a average sunburn, but to those with more durable skin that looks devastatingly painful.
So a couple faggots try to get high off of sunscreen (how the fuck?) and the schools ban it? Sounds fair.
Drugs will harm you! Skincancer is healthy!
[QUOTE=deadoon;36551221]To those who have delicate skin that is a average sunburn, but to those with more durable skin that looks devastatingly painful.[/QUOTE] For me, I have a thin layer of skin peel off in the rare case I get burnt. I guess it's due to my southern European heritage. But that, that looks like flesh sloughing off muscle.
