War On Drugs Goes From Bad To Evangelical: Sunscreen Banned From Schools and Summer Camps

I will never not use sunscreen again, you have to be a dense retard to not use sunscreen under any circumstance aside from allergic reactions.
I was expecting to find out that there's some new way to get high off sunscreen or something, only to find out that schools are just fucking stupid.
I understand why they do shit like this, even though it is retarded.
All it takes is for some kid to be a dumbass with something and get hurt, and the parents will immediately file a lawsuit against the school. Hell, sometimes nobody even has to get hurt for that to happen (i.e. the WiFi in school case).
That is what a over the counter drug is.
Oh hell, I'm a moron. I had a weird-ass misunderstanding about pharmacies and shit. I'm sorry.
Apparently they're looking at reevaluating the policy towards sunscreen as this incident has proven without a doubt that sending children into the sun for extended periods of time without suncreen leads to sunburn.
Washington State Law is retarded.
I don't think this is a state law - I pulled a bottle of sunscreen out of my backpack while leaving a classroom a couple months ago (it was getting really nice out) and nobody gave two shits.
holy fucking shit that's downright criminal
I live in Florida. Let me tell you about sunscreen in the simplest way possible.
Sunscreen where I live is like fucking GOLD. Okay? Gold. A sunburn is a fucking first degree burn, and the picture in the OP is a second degree burn. Why wouldn't you want to avoid that?
Awww fuck yeah lets go behind the school and snort a couple lines of banana boat!!!
Once we're done that we can inject it into our VEINSSSS!
Fucking rediculous.

try reading past the thread title
the ban is because of allergy concerns
Who, what? how...
Can you even do anything negative to your body with sunscreen besides swallowing it?
Ever get sunscreen in your eyes?

Well we can't ban the sun because some children are allergic, can we? And some are

Ban everything.
Also, this is true.
At my old high school, they removed all the hand sanitizer (a kind of alcohol that kills anything it comes in contact with) after some morons on the other side of the country tried to drink it to get drunk... And additionally, they banned gummy bears from the school grounds and cafe because they 'could be used to smuggle in alcohol'. Yeah... paranoia much?

And so can gatorade and water bottles.
Ban H2O.

Liquid containers were banned at my school because someone brought alcohol in.

What about athletes and such?

Water fountains in public schools are a great way to get sick.
The simple answer is, at many schools in the US, the school administrators and principals usually don't give half a shit about the children. The teachers and staff usually do but they're not the ones that make the rules.
O2 is more of a drug than sunscreen. (To be put on O2 in a hospital, you need a doctors order)

We had a celebration in my high school when we found out our principal was leaving. Even some of the teachers joined in.
The new one is amazing though - shame this was my senior year.
You're clearly not very smart. Do you know what sunburn is? Sunstroke? Do you know that sunscreens have been tested for years and years and are pretty damn safe to rub on your skin and do in fact help avoid sunburns which can be very painful and very shitty.
grow up.
And let's not forget skin cancer, which is pretty damn dangerous if you ask me.
