Kitty0706, Also Known as Colin Wyckoff Passed Away Today.

I may of not heard of this young fellow before, but it's a shame he had to go.
I watched the Hotline Miami 30 second video.
I chuckled, that I did.
But it's a bit hard to laugh when you know that he's not going to be able to create content anymore...
I can imagine how hard it must be for his relatives and girlfriend. And the fans, as well.

It's nice to see them taking notice and spreading word about the sincereness of the TF2 community. Past all the annoying kids is a friendly and collaborative nearly 8 year old community full of great people. I didn't know the news was on Reddit first though, wasn't it here from his friend and on Twitter from his girlfriend?

It was, it even says so in the reddit post that kotaku linked to
At a point he was my favourite YouTuber. I loved his videos, a real damn shame to hear this. He also really influenced my taste in music and got me into gmod, which got me into Valve and all of it's amazing games. Was really hoping he'd survive through it. Shall be missed. :(
His final Facebook status is devastating. Real sad.
Forgive me, but could you post it here?
I found out yesterday and... well... even though I wasn't a super big fan, I loved the guy and I still can't believe how much this impacted me... Fuck, I'll admit, I cried. It's just heartbreaking to see yet another creative, inspiring artist pass like this. What creeps me out is the fact that it's the same disease that took Ed...
I'm lazy and don't feel like looking back through the pages, but the post about how it's like a ghost seeing his posts and stuff even though he is gone really speaks to me.
Somebody I subscribe to composed a song as a tribute to him.

It's just Kotaku not checking up on facts, as usual.
I just remembered the person who made the song I posted, also interviewed him a few months back.
This is really depressing. That's already two of my favorite people who passed away at the beginning of the year.
Kitty0706
His gmod videos always made me smile when i was younger. It would cheer me up whenever i had a crappy day, and even now when i'm 20 i watch his videos from time to time.
Greg Plitt
His quotes and physique is what motivated me to lose weight and work out and be the best that i can be. This dude really knew how to motivate someone.
Rest In Peace, guys.
greg plitt's death really hit me hard, too. tragic that both young men were so happy and had so much potential.
Kitty's left us way too early, men. His comically awesome legacy will live on amongst his fans.
I've watched his video Roman vs Niko brawl back in 2010 and he is actually the reason why I got addicted to Gmod.
Can't believe that he passed away because last December I had just watched his recent GTA IV video.
I remember subscribing to his channel when he was still making the Project:Resistance videos and then getting obsessed with Gmod after he released that "King of rock n' roll" video
R.I.P.
Reading old FP threads about Kitty's videos is fucking depressing/ infuriating. My recommendation is to avoid them because most of the posts in said threads are of people shitting on him.

I was actually expecting somewhat around half of the people in this thread to be like "good riddance" or something along those lines in response because of kitty's reputation before he died.

Same here, I was pretty terrified of a thread being on here... Was fairly certain the grief was going to be worsened. But, I'm really happy that I was proven wrong. It's so heart warming and it makes me much happier that in a time like this, no matter what grievances existed, the community still came together.
Honestly, this whole situation has restored my faith in humanity quite a bit.

today I learned to not try to save people :(
I never had the pleasure of watching his videos before today, but it seemed like he was really talented and loved by a lot of people. It's sad that he died.
gonna try not to be an asshole about it but i found his vids to be some of the worst nonsequitur gmod lol randumb stuff, tho maybe its because i just havent found gmod stuff funny since 2006 or w/e
sucks that the dude died tho
I agree it's not for some but it was the funniest shit for me when I was like 12 or 13. [sp]Yes, I'm 18 now. It's been that long[/sp]
More recently the quality of his stuff was getting better and I feel it's a shame for this potential to be lost. Moments with Heavy was my shit

Yeah and that's the humor most of this generation has been accustomed to until you grow up a little bit. The lolrandom shit is funny because it makes no fucking sense and as a child most stuff doesn't make sense. Hence it being funny to the younger generation. Take a look at his videos comments.
That's why rage memes are so funny to kids and so stupid to us now. It's because that's legitimately funny when you're a kid.
Oh my god. No. Please, god no...
I used to watch this guy's videos as a kid.

I can't believe it...
He was a genius D:
I used to watch his videos back in high school. He was very talented and creative.
Rest in peace Colin, or as I'll remember him, Kitty0706

Such a touching video. Thank you for sharing.
In between studying for midterms I did a small video to remember Kitty.

Watching the video that DasBoSchitt put up made me tear up again.
Man fuck people younger then me dying. That shit's fucked up
Hey guys.
So I'm gonna keep this short because I doubt any of you really want to read much about what I have to say. But I wanted to let everyone know I'm sorry for how I behaved earlier in the thread. I'm not going to go on and defend my actions, but I will say that I didn't intend to shit on people's grieving party. Honestly, I'm just as upset as all of you. I actually felt really awful knowing someone that I've had history with is gone while things between he and I were sour... and I guess it triggered some sort of defense mechanism I never knew about. I've never dealt with something like this before and, for some reason, my immediate response was to blame him for being dead... I guess. I don't know. I'm still shocked and I feel awful that I never fixed things between he and I. I shouldn't have come into this thread and ruin everyone's mood while in grieving. And I want to further reiterate that I do not hate Kitty. I'm not looking for forgiveness. I'm not trying to defend my actions. I'm not looking to make excuses. I just want everyone to know that I sincerely apologize for my behavior earlier.
Rest in piece, Kitty0706. Sorry about all the shit that happened between us.

Also I will not remove my old posts because I feel like that makes me a coward. I will keep them up as a reminder that I own up to my mistakes.
Ye cannae keep grudges you don't intend to settle, lad. There's not enough time for any of us to do so.
Man fuck people younger then me dying. That shit's fucked up
The fact we were born in the same year makes me wonder about my own morality, a feeling that I've never thought about. To think that while I have my own issues about simple schoolwork another guy just like me is soon facing death. I'm sure I couldn't handle that burden of knowing the fact you'll soon die like he did.

Nessie's singing at the end made me tear up and cry all over again. It really is touching how much Colin meant to these people and to everyone here. I can't possibly imagine what it would be like to lose a close friend like that.
R.I.P Colin Wyckoff
