Alex Castas, general manager of Ye Olde Curiosity Shop on the Seattle waterfront, said his shop has been buying carvings from Williams' family for five generations, stretching back to the 1880s, when the shop used to buy from tribal members paddling up in canoes.
:(
Fire up/down and bullets don't like to ricochet. Aren't cops trained in martial arts? I fucking hate cops, last time I was in a cop car they joked about shooting me. Funny real fuckin funny.
I don't think you've ever been in a fight before.
I like how the girl is walking, hears the shooting and jumps kinda, then continues walking.
"such is life in America"
I don't think you've ever been in a fight before.
I have, your point? If I was that cop I would have tackled the guy, the gun was totally unnecessary in that situation. He could have used the taser instead.
It really sucks, that guy probably didn't leave his house thinking "today's a nice day to be killed by a cop for doing shit-all :)"
Imagine the cop then. Living the rest of his life with this in his head. Sure he is alive, but will he do much living after this? I sure as hell would never forgive myself.
This isn't really about schoolyard bullshit, there's alot more stress and adrenaline going into a fight when there are lethal objects involved and the person is trying to kill you. In this case the guy was just being a douche and couldn't recognize a non-hostile dude just crossing the street. But if you think someone with a lethal weapon is going to do something bad with it, then you never take the sights of your service pistol off him once you have it aimed and the safety is off. They're trained specifically to do just that. Real experience for officers comes with real situations, not all of them were raised on the streets and know how the city works. That's why they get so edgy, because they don't know what to expect.
He killed a man holding a knife shorter than my dick. And I thought that was small.
shit, five bullets, that seems a bit extreme. The problem with the police force isn't that they're all nutjobs, it's that a position of power that comes with a firearm can be incredibly enticing for a nutjob, so there are a few nutjobs that sign up. I mean, there are some right mean bastard coppers around where I live, I'm glad they don't get provided firearms, but there's also some nice guys as well.
He only said put the knife down 3 times, then 4-5 bullets to the chest?
Fucking spazz officer should be killed with a 7cm knife. [img_thumb]http://naturenet.net/blogs/media/blogs/eating/7cm-egg.jpg[/img_thumb]
I don't see how eggs has anything to do with someone getting murdered by police brutality
New World Record?
Fire up/down and bullets don't like to ricochet. Aren't cops trained in martial arts? I fuckin hate cops, last time I was in a cop car they joked about shooting me. Funny, real fuckin funny.
Oh lighten the fuck up [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
I have, your point? If I was that cop I would have tackled the guy, the gun was totally unnecessary in that situation. He could have used the taser instead.
Tackling a guy with a knife sounds like a genius idea [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline] But yeah, this is fucked, he couldn't have pulled out a tazer? He couldn't have called for backup to help apprehend him? He just decided to murder someone for no reason
I was elected to lead, not to read.
quit whining
I'm usually in favor of cops, especially in some of the stupid videos FP posts, but this is disgusting. This guy deserves murder charges to be brought against him, and I hope they do.
He could have at least fired a fucking warning shot, or does he think everyone with a knife is a pro knife thrower?
cops arent allowed to fire warning shots, this isnt an action movie
hahahah oh god the cop even said he saw him carving the piece of wood at 5:03 give this dipshit life
The knife was found closed...
Tackling a guy with a knife sounds like a genius idea
That knife wasn't big enough to do any real damage unless the guy holding it was a navy seal or something.
cops arent allowed to fire warning shots, this isnt an action movie
I know that but still, he could have tased him or pepper sprayed him. A knife of that size is nothing to get trigger happy about. [editline]23rd December 2010[/editline]
I don't see how eggs has anything to do with someone getting murdered by police brutality
LIES! Eggs have everything to do with the situation.
A friend of Williams said he was deaf in one ear and likely did not hear the officer's demands to put down the seven-centimetre blade.

I don't see how eggs has anything to do with someone getting murdered by police brutality
Are you serious? Look at the comment above the picture, and then look at the size of the egg.
God I hate how people assume if someone has a knife they intend on stabbing humans with it. Its a tool, I mean you can kill a man with a pen so why not stop everyone with a pen.
He had to get he guy's attention! How does someone not even paying attention to you warrant a threat? This scares me, cause that could have been my dad easily.
I love how the lady just pauses for a second and casually walks by, that's great.
what's the lady supposed to do? it's not like she can stick around for a chat...
what's the lady supposed to do? it's not like she can stick around for a chat...
She could if she knew sign language. :smug:
So got shot for holding a 2 1/2 inch knife? What the fuck.
Do you remember those days when you were just having a shitty time, and someone or something did something completely innocuous, and you just flipped a shit?
No.
Four shots to the chest? Thats way over the line.
What's with the American police and the shooting all the time? I know a police officer here in the Netherlands, who's been with the police for years, but he's never fired a bullet in a real situation. NEVER! And this guy sees someone walk over street and shoots him five times... wtf?
Hope that fucker rots in jail.
That knife wasn't big enough to do any real damage unless the guy holding it was a navy seal or something.
What are you talking about? If he WAS hostile and got into close quarters combat with the cop (I'm talking hand-to-hand) and managed to plunge a 7cm long blade into the cops chest or abdomen the cop would be pretty fucked up. I mean that's probably about 1/3 or 1/4 the depth of my body from belly to back as a comparison. 7 centimetres is PLENTY long enough to do some life-threatening damage.
