I don't understand how people can judge the entirety of GTA V's vehicle handling from watching about 5 seconds worth of 2 sports cars/super cars weaving through traffic without actually playing it themselves, let alone any racing game. From what i saw they look a lot more tight/twitchy which is exactly what Rockstar said how they were going to handle, which imo for a game like this fits.
i added that arcade driving isn't better than 'realistic' driving and vice versa
thats kinda what preferences mean
i wasnt trying to say realistic is better than arcade lol. i am arguging against gta iv's driving physics being bad, and trying to explain why arcade driving would make gta v less fun for me.
that is all im done.
I guess it'd be best if they did the same thing as the Mafia 2 devs did and include both options, realistic and arcade.
Although that's not gonna happen.
Maybe the cars were more arcadey because they showed the sports car right after the narrator said "Spend your money on expensive cars", so ofc expensive cars are going to have pretty good handling.
Older cars will probably be more like GTA4 and slide all over the place.
Altough quite realistic, I preferred the arcadey handling in the older GTA titles.
Holy fucking shit does this game look amazing! I mean wow im blown away by what rockstar did this time!

that kind of arcadeyness just wouldn't match the new game engine imo. im sure whatever they got in place is a near perfect balance.
I'm fucking amazed at how you can even buy STOCKS, hell you can buy all sorts of things. This game is gonna be so fucking great

they should have. gta is in need of difficulty options. gta iv was way to easy and theres no real way to make it more difficult other than self control. there's health, armour and ammo everywhere in pretty much every mission. if you lose it usually puts you right back to where you were (sometimes). the cops are piss easy to escape on any wanted level, and during races the others drive slower than you at all times. in tlad it was possible to overtake the other racers. its crazy.
and it aims for you if you use a controller rofl
Im fucking blown away by Rockstar. They really outdid themselves this time. Fuck sake this game is awesome.
Well, probably because we know as much as you do about GTA V. None of us have played it.
But it makes me think of San Andreas. You should try it, much more different from GTA IV.
Fair enough, I heard all sorts of "you can do crazy shit" hype about 4, how jetpacks were around and you could find a ton of easter eggs and it had a lot of silly things so I got excited. Picked it up and it was just kind of brown and depressing and I had a assload of money with nothing to really spend it on. I also found Niko to be poorly written, one cutscene he'd be lamenting that he never wants to kill again, then the game puts me in a car and lets me run over old ladies while blasting some kind of rock music.
Just kinda worried that this is going to be the same
The shooting is so much like Max Payne. I love it.

i think gta iv was more of an experiment to test their new engine. because it was very different from what they normally do.
Looks a little more arcadey to me in those fast lane switching scenes..
I'd rather have more responsive cars than the crap steering in GTA IV.
Police chases look incredibly intense like the older games.
I guess i am the only one who loves the driving in GTA4

I see GTAIV as the start of another cycle. GTA3 was very bare bones because it was their first time using that engine, but in subsequent games they improved things and added assloads of content.
It looks like GTA5 is going to be the San Andreas of the next gen games.

driving in gta 4 was fun but it wasnt perfect, it does some weird things sometimes.
crap steering isnt one of them though. [sp]learn to drive[/sp]
I think GTA is the only game that you can look forward to without the worry of it sucking, there hasn't been a single bad GTA game to date, right?
[sp]Chinatown Wars doesn't count[/sp]
The only two games coming out I am 100% confident won't be terrible are Saints Row 4 and GTA V. Every other game looks mediocre at best. We live in exciting times.

You aren't alone friend.
Is it going to be on the PC? Im confused. it'd be a shame if a awesome game like GTA V never was in the PC.
i dont like arcade driving cos there is no thrill or danger to driving fast. you can avoid hazards on a whim and corner like its nothing. this means there is essentially no divide between careful driving and reckless driving, taking any fun away from crusing and speeding.
fucking rofl, go play daytona usa 2 or san francisco rush and tell me that
arcade != easy to drive
all of the driving we've seen has been with sportscars with stiff suspensions anyway

Apparently the only reason Red Dead Redemption was never ported to PC because the developers didn't comment the code, so they had no idea what anything did when they went to port it. I have no sources to confirm this.
That said, Rockstar is keeping its usual "we're keeping our mouths shut," policy about the whole PC ordeal.

It hasn't been officially announced, but it will more then likely come out sometime

I very much disliked the driving in GTA IV. I'm all for realistic driving but when I play Grand Theft Auto I expected driving similar to the previous games, not Forza Motorsport. I never was able to look past this.

ah, i understand now.
Another thing I'm wondering is if every 3 guys have different missions, or just points of view of eachother while every mission is the same.

Im pretty sure they have all different missions which then lead into each other then start a different story.
Anyone got a 1080p link? Such a shame that us PC users have to wait 6 months after release, ugh

I really really doubt a R* studio would just forget to comment their code
if they forgot to comment the game wouldn't exist full stop

Im in a pickle. Should i wait for a pc release or get it on 360? I cant buy the game twice.
