I really really doubt a R* studio would just forget to comment their code if they forgot to comment the game wouldn't exist full stop
I know, but it's the only theory I've heard that actually makes sense. Why else would Rockstar refuse to release a game that would get them millions of sales?
On vehicle handling, I love the diving in GTA4, but not because the handling was great, It was because cars actually felt like they had weight. I don't see why they cant make the driving "faster" while still keeping the weight of the cars

Ah, dammit they don't have ps4 release up there D: but I honestly think a ps4 release will kill the multiplayer community. :\ Unless when they release it on PC they'll have cross platforming. That'd be crazy and possibly hard to play for the ps4 users.
Also I loved diving in GTA4 too. :v:
Rockstar isn't one single entity, each studio does as it wishes in regards to platform iirc.
I don't understand waht your point is. That doesn't change the fact that no sane person would willingly decline millions of sales unless it somehow takes millions of dollars to make the port.
i think gta iv was more of an experiment to test their new engine. because it was very different from what they normally do.
It definitely was. GTA IV is known to have been an experiment with the new technology rockstar has developed. It was a universe jump after all.
Only played a bit of GTA IV before and couldn't understand what all the hype was about. Now I know. God damn.
I guess i am the only one who loves the driving in GTA4
From what I've heard around the internet most people do like it very much. Me being one of them. I found that once you get used to them they're really brilliant. Races get ridiculously easy after you master the handling a bit.
I'm hoping that police cars will stick to your arse instead of just re-appearing constantly, kinda like the Driver games.
It also would be lovely if the police tried to act a bit more like the police instead of just ramming into your car till you drop.
Does anyone know if I will have the ability as Michael to shoot my ungrateful as fuck family?
It also would be lovely if the police tried to act a bit more like the police instead of just ramming into your car till you drop.
that cop behavior is exactly what made and bred GTA dude
they felt like they had weight yeah but it was still like sponge
It was the little details that I loved. I like how FWD cars had correctly modeled understeer, and how older cars lacked ABS which made them harder to maneuver around a corner. I liked how you could tell the difference between a police car and a taxi because the police car had stiffer springs and larger brakes. Weight bias and its effects on traction seemed to be quite effective as well. I also loved how driving cars with automatics actually sounded and felt like they were automatics. They were slow to shift, and wouldn't downshift as quickly as the higher end cars would.
Can't wait for this game, don't really get too excited about games but this looks stellar.
Gotta change my pants now
It also would be lovely if the police tried to act a bit more like the police instead of just ramming into your car till you drop.
And if you get busted during a 5-star wanted level, the save should delete itself because you get sentenced for life.
Euphoria and all that natural motion jazz please it made the game so much more fun
Gotta change my pants now
Your avatar fits PERFECTLY.
Jesus christ this game should be it's own console.
I was so excited. Look at how sick nighttime looks. I hated the look of night in GTAIV for some reason.
6 fucking megabytes seriously that would've looked better and weighed less as a video
Thats quite tame for a gameplay gif. most of them are ~10. Although it is a terribly executed one.
Now all we need is an official PC announcement. This game keeps getting better the more they leak. Leaving the missions up to the player to design and perform? Awesome. Have they said anything about co-op at all? With 3 players, you could easily cruise through the story -- like borderlands 2, more people, the strong the others get.
I heard from a friend that GTA V budget was well over 100 million. Is that true? I know gaming is big business, but 100 mln?

Mutiplayer is still there though, and it'll most likely have a ton of fun gamemodes.
I heard from a friend that GTA V budget was well over 100 million. Is that true? I know gaming is big business, but 100 mln?
GTA IV grossed more than $500 million in revenue in the first week
Notice how there aren't any pedestrians at all on the sidewalks I really hope that's because it's the dead of night, and is a mechanic itself. [editline]9th July 2013[/editline] Also
Pretty sure they are using all the mechanics from previous games that were successful, and implementing it into GTA V. All the good things you saw in RDR, MP3, etc..., are in there.
I was actually dead-on with this.
