• Child falls into pond and almost drowns - four other children try to help him and drown as well

It says the youngest was 3. If you're wandering around an area like that you have to keep a close eye on at least the 3 year old, come on! Don't tell me you're going to make the safety of a 3 year old the responsibility of the 8 year old.
What I'm really wondering is how a 3 years old child actually had the presence of mind to realise the other child needed help, and how he helped him.

Not all kids are sociopaths who don't really have a conscience to do the right thing.
I think suffocating in sand or other fine matter would be worse but fuck if I know "Drowning" in sand is still one of my worst fears

I didn't make the title clear enough, I got it. My bad.
Kids and water seems to be magnetic. If you leave a child within 100m of a body of water where the depth exceeds 100cm they WILL manage to kill themselves in it. It's like curtain cords. They'll find out some way to fucking hang themselves on them.
Kids act like they're from Dwarf Fortress or something I swear
Misleading title much?

Something like this happened some years ago near where I live, except the kids drowned to death.
