Use Your Own Brain: A Self-Help Guide by Hideki Kamiya
there's a difference between being "real" and being a child
If this is being a child sanius, I doubt you know the difference. Beep boop boop
there's a difference between being "real" and being a child
have you ever been in a professional environment that doesn't deal with public service there's a lot of swearing in my experience that's keeping it real
"unprofessional" aka "hurt my feelings" get over it. he's not obligated to be kind to you just because he's in the public eye.

kamiya seems like kind of a jerk who wouldn't be able to get away with this if he wasn't a video game rock-star of sorts. some of his tweets are still funny though
liked when he called some dumb dude an idiot foreigner and then he got lectured by Atsushi Inaba
so is bayonetta going to be in the next smash bros or....?
so is bayonetta going to be in the next smash bros or....?
ask your mom
there's a difference between being "real" and being a child
Oh yes I'd prefer him to say some vague shit in cyinical corporate legal speech.
dude sounds very mature and professional
because you know what we all want in an industry that focuses on a medium of expression very professional and mature people preferably with degrees in marketing
Oh yes I'd prefer him to say some vague shit in cyinical corporate legal speech.
yep that's the only alternative to telling somebody to fuck off
so is bayonetta going to be in the next smash bros or....?
Next week... in game magazines...
yep that's the only alternative to telling somebody to fuck off
Sir, will you kindly stick your meat shaft in a circular object that has a spinning blade. It'd be most darling. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Starpluck))
yep that's the only alternative to telling somebody to fuck off
if a game developer is answering the same exact questions with the same exact answer (fuck off) and it currently hasn't gotten that particular fanbase to stop asking said questions, what sort of alternative 'professional' retaliative actions exactly do you think would have alleviated this problem? i'm seriously curious to know what you think you would be doing to personally deal with problems you will never have. i guess i'm not really arguing about him being unprofessional, but rather why you would consider professionalism on a personal social level with a game developer important if thom yorke wasn't so edgy and ~reclusive~ that he felt above social media and used it and was asked fifty times a day and even more every time there was a concert why he doesn't play creep more often he'd probably lose his shit too, without feeling the need to explain himself for the hundredth time to someone who will respond with a frowny face and either "that sucks" or "please?" every sort of artist is like this, i can only think of the radiohead/creep thing because i'm such a hipster faggot, but you don't expect any other type of artist who's incessantly bombarded by pleas to create more of the same or to pay more attention to rehashing moments in their careers to respond positively to the fucking morons who beg for it. it's sort of insulting their artistic integrity* by implying that old works are worth more than the processes that were used to develop said works, which have since and during that time hopefully improved, perhaps greatly. *i am not implying bayonetta has artistic quality, i know nothing of the game. i'm just saying from the point of view of a developer like that, a fan who loves you exclusively for one completed product and not the actual thoughts and work that went into it's creation and execution feels betrayed by the notion artists don't want you to unconditionally love them for having a hand in a finished piece that you enjoyed, they want you to have faith in them for their ability to have a hand in things you enjoy. loving this guy simply because he was behind bayonetta and you feel it's the pinnacle of gaming or whatever is not the same as loving the guy because you don't know what he's going to come up with next and the prospect of finding out sounds exciting. i'd say dealing with fans of the first type is a different from artist to artist, i guess some would feel disheartened that people think of their completed works (especially early in their career), which are now stagnant ideas, surpass the significance of the artists potential and combined skills required to maintain that potential. obviously, this particular fellow deals with this internal struggle in a much more aggressive manner, by downplaying, condescending and denying credence to those who see him as nothing more than the vehicle for his past games, i believe, childish or not, that it is a more mentally healthy and gratifying experience than could come from any sort of polite interaction he could make
yep that's the only alternative to telling somebody to fuck off
i'm not sure if the professional image of the guy who made bayonetta will be very tarnished by some angry tweets tbh
i'm not sure if the professional image of the guy who made bayonetta will be very tarnished by some angry tweets tbh
I don't really care about his professional image. I just think he's a temperamental dick. idk why people are reading so much into it
kamiya seems like kind of a jerk who wouldn't be able to get away with this if he wasn't a video game rock-star of sorts. some of his tweets are still funny though
Why should he be perceived as "getting away" with anything? If I came onto your twitter or facebook and started asking a bunch of dumb questions over and over again, you'd tell me to fuck off. I'm all for video game devs, and professionals in general, being real by saying what they think as opposed to giving a shit eating grin and selling you a lie just to appease you.
I don't really care about his professional image.
what does this mean
he lives the trill life
what does this mean
i'm not kidding, it has to do with this "niggas in the hood think i'm flexin' and i'm gay"

I genuinely don't see what's so funny or cool about this. His replies aren't even witty besides the fact he desperately tries hard to force in as many swear words he can. Not complaining that this is "unprofessional," there's just nothing special about it other than the fact that he worked on Smash Brothers.
Why does he look like the protagonist of a 70s Japanese show where he either pilots a giant robot of turns into a brightly coloured superhero?
I think he looks more like a protagonist out of a slice of life anime about school delinquents like cromartie high school.

He's real talk, gets down to brass tacks and isn't afraid of anything. Regardless of whether you think he is funny or cool, I hold respect for him for that.

It's dishonest, and I have no idea why people would want that. Better that the dude is an honest asshole instead of a dishonest asskiss. FWIW if justin bieber did something like this it wouldn't do anything. Chris brown beat the fucking shit out of Rhianna and he still has MILLIONS of girls who want to sleep with him, and will be attending his next concert and buying his next album and singing his praises on twitter. And its not like the retard is a musical genius by any stretch of the imagination, if he stopped recording the world wouldn't be at a loss for anything....
