Lucky it's like 10C today. I didn't even need to roll my windows down driving to work. I don't want fall to start dammit! UK please donate some of your heat to the Dakota's we would really appreciate it.
average temperature in england is around 15C, go eat a dick
Fuck how do you people live in such a frozen wasteland??
Fuckin ell, hottest September day since 1911
Yep, most people aren't used to these temps at all, most buildings don't have AC, and the majority of houses are heavily insulated against the shitty weather we usually get, meaning being indoors can somehow feel hotter than standing outside.
S'fun.
don't forget the old folk with heatstroke who crank their thermostats up to 28C as soon as they hear summer is over
Wow, I normally hate these "well where I live, it's X degrees" comparisons, but holy shit you guys are concerned over 20c (68f) to 30c (88f)? I worked as a lifeguard in ~40c (104f) almost every day this past summer. In fact, my air conditioning is set to 68f right now and I'm cold
why stop

the fact that you have an air conditioner and a large majority of these people don't sort of speaks volumes for how obtuse you're being right now lmfao be quiet
i live in texas in general 90-100F degree weather but I understand what it's like to be thrown out of your weather element. when it gets too cold here, no one is prepared because we don't have tires on our cars to navigate ice or snow because it's so rare. same thing how mostly cooler climates don't tend to have homes with central air or any air conditioning in general so when the temperature spikes, it becomes an issue of just not being prepared. likewise with people in homes that get flooded when they're not built to withstand flooding because it doesn't happen.
pretending like people are weak just because the environment around them is literally not built for a certain sort of weather environment is stupid and you look stupid
I've sweated enough for one year thank you can winter start now please.

To be honest, the English are pretty weak when it comes to this. Their average max temperature in september is just 1°C below ours and we aren't getting any warning.
Comparing Australia, Qatar, or fucking India to England is pretty stupid, but their climate is rather similar to ours (with the exception of the extremes), so comparisons can be made.
Woah, look at this guy over here, he can tolerate high temperatures because he's used to it! What a fucking badass!
Maybe read what I actually wrote? Are you blind? Is it that hard for you?
To further prove it, here, have some actual statistics that show that your capital city (London) is actually WARMER than our capital city (Berlin).

I understand what you are trying to say, but I feel "The English are pretty weak" isn't helping your case.

Talking about the weather, not that the average English person is weak in general.
Could also be because of your media, they are always making it seem worse than it actually is.

It's mainly our media blowing it out of proportion using clickbait *DANGER EXTREME TEMPERATURE* headlines when it gets over 18C. The majority of people in the UK can handle heat fine, but Brits do love complaining and the heat gives us something to collectively complain about.

You probably could have phrased it better, though. I don't think weak was the right word choice.

It isn't average temperatures though you dolt. It's a 100 year record high September heatwave, lmao. And your point is invalid anyway because London is ALWAYS hotter than the rest of the UK because of how built up it is.
The only reason i think this heat would be dangerous are old people who refuse to turn off their heating and turn their houses into furnaces. Otherwise it's just unpleasant
You probably could have phrased it better, though. I don't think weak was the right word choice.
Yes, you are right. Maybe "less flexible" or something like that would have been a better choice.

Exactly, it isn't average. Guess what it's like in Germany right now? Exactly, the same or even warmer, which is the only reason why I even compared them.
Well, then we could compare Hamburg to Manchester or any other place. You act like temperature differences are unique to the UK.
By the way, that's where the heat is: near London, most of the rest is or was much cooler.

lmao
I hope this means we get a decent winter this year. Cold rain and dark skies for 5 months blows
Stay cool and drink plenty of water all you UKers. I don't want to see yall on the news.

i think you underestimate how much colder the rest of england is normally compared to london.
not everyone lives in the warmer south.
I mean can you even call this a heatwave? It's more like a... Not so cold wave
It was hotter across the entire country 2 weeks ago yet I don't ever remember hearing about a heatwave then.
The UK's hottest day of the year so far - and the warmest September day since 1911 - has been recorded in Gravesend, Kent, where it reached 34.4C (93.9F).
The spell of warm Autumn weather is forecast to continue across parts of England until Friday.
Public Health England (PHE) and NHS England have both warned that the weather can pose a risk to health.
Elsewhere, yellow warnings for rain are in place for some parts of northern England and southern Scotland.
As much as 30mm (one inch) of thundery, torrential rain could cause flash flooding and travel disruption in places during the afternoon and evening, the Met Office said.
average temperature in england is around 15C, go eat a dick
Average temperature in Switzerland is around the same, yet we don't have any problem with 20-30C.
I guess the British just love to complain about temperatures.
Health warning? :goodjob: It's common sense really. Wear light clothing and stay hydrated.
RIP weather boys probably won't even have snow this year.
RIP weather boys probably won't even have snow this year.
Maybe the sun is just saying hi one last time before an abyss of rain, snow and darkness appears for 5 months.
lmao 88 degrees is cause for concern in britbongia?

Please open the details and show the humidity that comes with said heat, also:

I understand it's an exaggeration but the entire first page was about "please don't go about how British hot isn't your hot"
