thank fuck

nothing makes me hope the world ends in 2012 more than knowing theres no more top gear till 2013
wow you're so edgy and cool!!
Two things: First off, I guarantee if you ask ANY US Top Gear fan, including me, about the US version of Top Gear, they'll say it sucked the Queen's balls. Second, why the hell did the Indian Embassy demand an apology from the BBC over their Indian special? Aside from the toilet thing James made, I thought it put India in a really good light, and just showed how bad they were at being ambassadors! (Except for the ending with the cricket)

Good, maybe it'll give Hammond a while to think of something else but racist and sexist jokes
maybe this results in a AROUND THE WORLD special? dude, that would be sweet. it should be 3 episodes long.
As long as there are new cars there will hopefully always be Top Gear, and as long as there is Top Gear hopefully it will always be Clarkson, Hammond and May. Their chemistry is brilliantly entertaining.
Good, maybe it'll give Hammond a while to think of something else but racist and sexist jokes
Err, you sure you're not talking about Clarkson? He is the one that likes to insult everything that's not British, and I love him for it.
Err, you sure you're not talking about Clarkson? He is the one that likes to insult everything that's not British, and I love him for it.
And Hammond is the midget.
They were talking about how the (big) funds had shrunk at the Top Gear Production Office lately, so maybe 2012 will give them some ideas and dosh. Can't wait for 2013 now dangit.
Wasn't it that people were bitching Top Gear got a 2 million pound budget per season? That is, until the Top Gear Office revealed they were making the BBC 20 million pounds in merchandise sales alone.
Oh well, there's always Dave.
This. It'll be like their electric car...except with more shiny armour and a gun that probably wont even work
Jeremy: "James you blithering idiot, you mounted the gun the wrong way around!"
I feel sad to think that some day it has to end.
I feel sad to think that some day it has to end.
NEVER! We'll force them to bathe in stem cells so THEY'LL STAY YOUNG FOREVER!
Well that sucks, to make it up i will stream a few seasons of TG perhaps :v:
Sorry for being ignorant but from what I know, Top gear isn't being on swedish TV (of what i know, correct me if im wrong) but what is good about this show? To me it looks like a regular car show (I'm not trying to bash the show at all, I've just seen some videos linked in LMAO pics of it) Honestly just curious about the show.
This is good for me, I haven't watched in a while and now I can catch up. I hope they resume a little sooner, though. They're funny as hell and it's just generally good for most guys.
Top gear isn't being on swedish TV (of what i know, correct me if im wrong)
They air Top Gear on Kanal 9 http://www.kanalnio.se/program/top-gear
What kind of person watches the Olympics when Top Gear is airing?
They air Top Gear on Kanal 9 http://www.kanalnio.se/program/top-gear
I don't think I have kanal 9 here.
What kind of person watches the Olympics when Top Gear is airing?
Exactly. Next to terrorism, they had to eliminate the biggest threat to the downfall of the Olympics.
Man you guys are too critical about US topgear. It's not shit, even Hammond, Clarkson, and May said they liked it. It's more reserved than uk top gear and they tend to copy challenges, but it's still entertaining and not horribly made or incredibly dumb. Uk top gear is infinitely better and that's indisputable, but US topgear is still a pretty good show to watch.
Aww, that's a bit shit :( Guess, as has been said, Dave will have to do for now! And my 2 pennies about the TG USA thing - I don't think it's that bad, but it does miss a lot of the qualities of the original TG.
Season one of US top gear wasn't very good but go back and watch series 1 of UK top gear, not great either. The second season of US top gear is much better and the presenters are actually starting to mesh together well. Everyone hating on top gear US has only seen first season stuff I can almost guarantee.
All three of their attitudes make the show hilarious and informative. The american top gear's to me feels tacky and they seem to try too hard.
See, as far as whether or not this thread needs a country tag, I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand, there are multiple countries with a Top Gear. The UK, the US, and I think possibly Australia. On the other hand, the US version is absolute shit on a stick, and I'm only 10% confident in the existence of an Australian show. As far as the actual content of the article though, I'm a little sad - even though I don't watch the show that often, it still bugs me that there aren't going to be new episodes for some reason. It's not like they're going away forever or anything, and they probably have a good reason, but still.
TG AUS was canceled.
