Why not inform every country immigrants come from that EU borders are closed and they risk die-ing on boat?
You can't make everyone happy, and you know that.

Because as he mentions in the article, if you have travelled from a war torn, impoverished county in central Africa, or the middle east you will probably rather take your chances on the boat than think better of it and go home. This is the last resort for many people.
That's not bleeding heart sympathy, desperate people do desperate, dangerous things.
There is no way to make everyone happy, which is why it's such an ugly situation, there isn't a right answer as such.
