The thing about the PSP is that it and DS were the only portable 3D gaming devices at the time (apart from the N-Gage and Doom on the GBA) . These days people play 3D games on their phones and tablets so they isn't such a need for the PSvita and there is also all that proprietary crap all over it.
So in econ we're learning about the laws of supply and demand. It looks like Sony isn't playing by the rules.

It's just a phone sans the phone part. No extra buttons though.
