• Trump urges Russia to hack Clinton’s emails

All right let me put it this way:
“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,”
I pointed out that these emails, minus those with classified information, are already publically available. He wants Russia to find and read through them. If you can find a statement saying he wants Russia to breach US email servers to get classified information then please point it out.
It seems like if he says anything like "I hate traffic" the media tries to spin it as "Trump hates all those that stand in his way"
It seems like if he says anything like "I hate traffic" the media reports "Trump: I hate traffic" and people like you desperately try to whine about the media afterwords. The video is in OP's article but if you hit a paywall you can bring it up on Youtube pretty easily. You'd have to be deaf to assume sarcasm by the way he was speaking.
It doesn't "feel like blatant sarcasm", his preamble to the suggestion took the hack seriously as being disrespectful to America.
The reason why I brought up Hillary is because if you did reconcile that statement then it is frankly hypocritical to push this story as a valid point to attack Just saying "Hey you made a comparison to the other important candidate in the election" isn't in any way a gotcha

Not that he wants them to read through wikileaks.
The reason why I brought up Hillary is because if you did reconcile that statement then it is frankly hypocritical to push this story as a valid attack
It's not an attack it's literally a quote and a video of him speaking jesus christ.

Which you don't
It's not an attack it's literally a quote and a video of him speaking jesus christ.
An attack being something used to deride or diminish a candidate. Quite frankly, it explains a lot about this if you couldn't even parse what I meant by attack.
Just saying "Hey you made a comparison to the other important candidate in the election" isn't in any way a gotcha
It's pointless though if it's two entirely different topics. Like if Clinton had said China should hack the RNC's servers to get dirt on Trump and I said "You go girl!" you might have a point but you bring up a quote about Gaddaffi that I've never "reconciled" to try and make me look like a hypocrite.
An attack being something used to deride or diminish a candidate. Quite frankly, it explains a lot about this if you couldn't even parse what I meant by attack.
It's like fifteen posts in and you're still deflecting. Do you agree with Trump on what he said about Putin and this hack or not?
An attack being something used to deride or diminish a candidate. Quite frankly, it explains a lot about this if you couldn't even parse what I meant by attack.
What's being used to "deride or diminish" Trump is his own words, unfiltered, with full context. It's like suggesting I'm attacking someone who punched themselves in the jaw.
This is not fair. "Also, The RUSSIANS" is an international attention grabbing hot topic right now, and he just uses it to his benefit, just like he used Queen's song. PAY THE ROYALTIES TO MOTHER RUSSIA YA FURLY
Have we even caught the people that hacked Hillary's e-mails? We aren't we focusing our attention on them? [editline]27th July 2016[/editline] He's filling in for orgornot.
Nobody hacked Hilary's emails AFAIK. The guy who claimed he had admitted to lying about it, and the FBI couldn't find evidence of foreign powers doing so either. I think you're confusing it with the DNC emails; which funnily enough have been speculated to have been stolen by Russian hackers affiliated with the Russian government, which is probably why WikiLeaks got their hands on them and released them before the convention.
It's like fifteen posts in and you're still deflecting. Do you agree with Trump on what he said about Putin and this back or not?
What is there to agree with? I am pretty sure it's a sarcastic joke regarding the weak excuse given by the DNC.
And as I said you'd have to be deaf or dumb to believe it was sarcastic.
Your entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to my opinion that you are hopelessly unable to discern tone.
What is there to agree with? I am pretty sure it's a sarcastic joke regarding the weak excuse given by the DNC.
And as I said you'd have to be deaf or dumb to believe it was sarcastic.
Watch the video, he clearly means emails not held by the leaks published by wikileak. Not that he wants them to read through wikileaks.
I did watch the video, and that quote is a transcription of what he said. I don't know what is making you interpret it otherwise.
Yeah. The Clinton email server went untouched, as far as we're aware. If someone had actually compromised it with any real intentions to embarrass her, they would've released it by now to hurt her, like the DNC stuff being leaked just before the convention. And it's worth remembering that this particular server of Clinton's was confirmed by Comey himself to have held information requiring a top secret security clearance. This is stuff we shouldn't want others seeing, and we especially don't want to encourage people stealing this information if it suits our political agenda.
What is there to agree with? I am pretty sure it's a sarcastic joke regarding the weak excuse given by the DNC.
just a prank bro
What is there to agree with? I am pretty sure it's a sarcastic joke regarding the weak excuse given by the DNC.

“I have nothing to do with Russia! I said that Putin has much better leadership qualities than Obama, but who doesn’t know that,”
This also comes off as sarcasm to you?
Nobody hacked Hilary's emails AFAIK. The guy who claimed he had admitted to lying about it, and the FBI couldn't find evidence of foreign powers doing so either. I think you're confusing it with the DNC emails; which funnily enough have been speculated to have been stolen by Russian hackers affiliated with the Russian government, which is probably why WikiLeaks got their hands on them and released them before the convention.
Correction: they couldn't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the emails were breached by a foreign power. They testified it was possible.
I did watch the video, and that quote is a transcription of what he said. I don't know what is making you interpret it otherwise.
The fact that he says the Russians should hand over the hacked emails to the press? And at no point mentions them reading them on wikileaks? Or even wikileaks at all.
I did watch the video, and that quote is a transcription of what he said. I don't know what is making you interpret it otherwise.
He was talking about how the hack shows how disrespected America is, then said Russia should find the 30,000 emails that are missing and you somehow interpret this as him meaning Russia should pull up the Wikileaks website when the entire context of that part of the speech had to deal with the Russian hack of the DNC.
The fact that he says the Russians should hand over the hacked emails to the press? And at no point mentions them reading them on wikileaks? Or even wikileaks at all.

“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,”
Where does it say he wants them to hand over the emails to the press Russia is getting a bunch of coverage over the DNC emails right now and they are only a suspect. If Russia confirmed that they got Hillary's emails they would be in the news for a while
Where does it say he wants them to hand over the emails to the press

“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press”
It was literally right in the quote in the original post.
He was talking about how the hack shows how disrespected America is, then said Russia should find the 30,000 emails that are missing and you somehow interpret this as him meaning Russia should pull up the Wikileaks website when the entire context of that part of the speech had to deal with the Russian hack of the DNC.
You are putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. I didn't say that he wants Russia to pull up the wikileaks website, only that there was no implication that Russia needs to hack into US Gov email servers.
Where does it say he wants them to hand over the emails to the press Russia is getting a bunch of coverage over the DNC emails right now and they are only a suspect. If Russia confirmed that they got Hillary's emails they would be in the news for a while
In the entire section of the speech you quoted. Are you trolling now? You literally just quoted him saying the press would reward Russia if they found the 30,000 missing emails. [editline]27th July 2016[/editline]
You are putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. I didn't say that he wants Russia to pull up the wikileaks website, only that there was no implication that Russia needs to hack into US Gov email servers.
Except earlier in the video he explicitly mentions Russian hacking, and wondering if they have the rest of the emails wikileaks doesn't have.
It was literally right in the quote in the original post.
Rewarded mightily by the press =/= hand over the emails to the press Russia would be in the news for finding the emails. Nothing about publicizing the emails or giving them to the press
You are putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. I didn't say that he wants Russia to pull up the wikileaks website, only that there was no implication that Russia needs to hack into US Gov email servers.
no need to hack into US gov email servers...because they can just pull up Wikileaks.
Actually yeah, minus the classified emails the 30000 are already publicly available as part of the Freedom of Information act. Wikileaks just made them easy to search through
I happened to watch the press conference Trump had today, and I'm pretty sure what he said was 100% just to spite/rile up the media. Especially how they asked him 5 or 6 times about his connection to Putin and if he is in the cohoots with Russia. He was clearly getting tired of anwsering the same quetion over and over at one conference. My opinion: if you buy anything the media try to sell you on this, you are retarded.
Rewarded mightily by the press =/= hand over the emails to the press Russia would be in the news for finding the emails. Nothing about publicizing the emails or giving them to the press
No, that is exactly what it means, you're twisting your own candidates words to suit your needs now. The press don't give you a reward for claiming something, they give you a reward for actually providing.
