Market share and advertising do not a good operating system make. Or more specifically, an operating system is not any better just because a lot of people use it.
A good operating system is a good operating system, but using it is only worth it if there's widespread support for it, you could be on the best OS in the world but if only 5 people use it, it doesn't matter. Not saying this applies to Linux, but the bigger a OS's market share the more people developing for it. Linux support is hardly the #1 priority for anyone developing software out there, depends on what area it would be used in maybe but generally it is that way.
I really don't see a reason to use Linux.
This can be used either way You use linux if you like linux, windows if you like windows.
I work with Linux servers everyday and think this is great and hopefully more developers will support Linux . I really want Linux on the desktop to be a suitable alternative for gamers and this is a milestone towards it but Linux is still a long way away from reaching the end goal I think.
I really don't see a reason to use Linux.
Don't use it then. I don't really see a reason to play Dota 2, does that mean it shouldn't be done?
