A good operating system is a good operating system, but using it is only worth it if there's widespread support for it, you could be on the best OS in the world but if only 5 people use it, it doesn't matter.
Not saying this applies to Linux, but the bigger a OS's market share the more people developing for it. Linux support is hardly the #1 priority for anyone developing software out there, depends on what area it would be used in maybe but generally it is that way.

You use linux if you like linux, windows if you like windows.

I work with Linux servers everyday and think this is great and hopefully more developers will support Linux . I really want Linux on the desktop to be a suitable alternative for gamers and this is a milestone towards it but Linux is still a long way away from reaching the end goal I think.

Don't use it then. I don't really see a reason to play Dota 2, does that mean it shouldn't be done?
