This completely changes the nature of the story.
Yeah no it doesn't, some kid still experienced a very scary negative experience with actual law enforcement. Regardless of who fucked up or why it still boils down to this kid carrying around this shit for life. I'm sure I don't need to explain why that's a bad thing, and I'm confident that you can agree with me that instilling a dislike or fear of law enforcement in children isn't a good thing either.
I want to send my kids to a private school, without sending them to a Christian school or turning them into nut jobs. Do down to earth private schools with sane policies exist?

they never did. there's nothing wrong with public school, the only thing sending a kid to private school will do is reduce their exposure to minorities
Sometimes I just click and hope this is an Onion article...then it ends up being real.
This is so depressing it isn't even funny.
The Onion would never even joke about this, they've been pandering to "SJW" talking points for years now. Bringing up false racism on the internet creates a shitstorm the same as false rape.

I agree, yeah. I'm simply saying that it changes the entire NARRATIVE of the story, not the impacts of it.
but i thought minorities couldn't be racist?
There was actually a case in USA about a year ago where a 12 year old boy kissed a girl and got a sexual assault charge. It obviously got dropped but still.
I was suspended in 4th grade for kissing a girl on the playground. She reported to the principal that it was gross so I got suspended for a week and no more recess for the rest of the year for sexual assault. And this was back in like 1996. People will always be stupid when it comes to kids and what's right and wrong.
Also haven't kissed a girl since I'm so fucked up from that... yeah that must be it...
Man times have changed. I was beaten up in elementary school for not being white and all the other kid got was a time out.
[editline]1st July 2016[/editline]
But who thought it was a good idea to call the police? Like unless the kid actually threatened the other kid and just played it off as a snack thing to his parents. Even then...
When I was in elementary school, I was being bullied by this girl who wouldnt let me out of a door way. The substitute teacher was standing and watching the whole thing, and when I used my forearm to push her out of the way the girl told the substitute teacher I grabbed her breasts. The substitute teacher proceeded to scream at me and then send me to the office, where I was interrogated for three hours until school ended with threats about calling the police if I didn't "tell the truth". I asked to call my parents multiple times but the school wouldn't let me.
The point of my story is that primary schools are absolutely retarded, and that so much of this shit happens all the time, just unreported. It really sucks, and I went home traumatized and bawling my eyes out.

I'm sorry buddy, school administration is fucked. I'm gonna be homeschooling my children, when I have children, because of problems like this.

This is straight up child abuse IMO. No kid of that age should have to deal with adults in authority being such fucking idiots.
Every time i hear about this bullshit, im baffled.
I should go back to the highschool i just graduated from and individually thank each faculty member for not being shitheads.
