I used to be Blonde and blue eyed when I was younger. My parents however are not Blonde and never were. Over the years though my bright Blonde hair turned naturally black.

As somebody whose Dad was a (corporate) lawyer who heard of a few cases of kidnapping by Roma and Irish Travellers, I'm not so quick to naysay that this wasn't the result of foul play. But the really infuriating thing is that this should be easy-peasy to fix. Just make sure nobody leaves town "coincidentally", take a sample from the child, and take one from the alleged parents. Compare. Simple, and easy to do at your average doctor's. Going this far without evidence is uncalled for. Just because there are plenty of bad Rom and Travellers doesn't mean that they are all there is.

Now in that case it was just a narrow minded person whom opinion should not be considered, and we can all agree on that. But in other cases it might be an old woman/man trying to live another day. You see, they have a particular culture which is kinda incompatible with other cultures; they have a dress code and for sure they have different ideas. This shouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for a simple fact: nobody is willing to give them a job. Some say they don't even want one (but I'll leave this as "some say"). As all human beings they need food to be able to survive If they can't have a job, how can they afford it? They go around begging for money but sometimes some of them want extras. Now I'm sure this doesn't apply to everyone but the roms' robbing issue is a matter of fact. From little children to middle age women, many have been caught on action and I had a chance too once. Fun fact, you will never find rom men begging for money or robbing, just kids and women. I still remember that woman on the bus realizing her wallet was missing, she started crying asking to the people that were next to her to have it back. She had an electromagnetic card as home key, plus some cash, but all she really wanted back was her home key (I bet she was in some sort of public housing). Anyway, oddly enough the people next to her were roms. I wasn't sure about who was the thief until I saw the wallet hided in a section of the bus. Then I actually realized the reason of them moving around (there was something like 3 children and 3 women). Luckily enough I was able to return the wallet Now I don't want to make a statement but rather an observation. I know that been different it's usually perceived as good, but we definitively need to think sometimes. One day is the hedge trimmer and the day after is a wallet. It's not about the crime or the object stolen, it's about the consequence of the crime it self. And people tend to not see beyond their actions. So if I think this way for a white, black, yellow, Italian, Spanish, British, American or whatever you like, why can't I apply that to any person belonging to a minority? Now this is not the topic but there is a problem with roms. And don't get me as one of those stupid xenophobic ass holes, I don't blame them or other cultures for the big problems (I never really think about them). That's how a racist person thinks. But please don't tell me that many of them aren't a problem. Whoever is right, you can't say there is no issue, even if it's a lot smaller then others. [U]I want justice for every innocent rom accused[/U], but I don't accept excuses for criminals. Whatever nation-culture they come from.
