That reminds me of a joke: A really religious fisherman was fishing out in the sea when his boat started to sink. The fisherman did everything in his power to save his boat but couldn't and was floating around holding onto an empty barrel. As the barrel started to fill with water he prayed to god to save him! A few minutes later a boat appeared and the sailors offered help; the fisherman refused said "God shall save me I prayed to him" confused sailors left him. The fisherman prayed again saying he is about to drown. Another boat appeared again offering the fisher man help; the fisherman refused said "God will not leave me here; I shall be saved I prayed" confused sailors left him. The fisherman drowns and as he is walks up to the pearly gates, he asks St. Peter "Why didn't the god save me? I prayed for help and wasn't saved? Have I sinned?"

St. Peter looks at him and says "God sent 2 boats after you!"
