4 men share video of themselves running over a kangaroo, then stabbing it, then stamping on its head

For people that dont know what kangaroos are like or if you are a city Australian that is an "expert" on everything bush related.
Kangaroos here are in epidemic levels, Like so many you wont even believe, I used to live in a town called lightning ridge and at about 3 am a horde of kangaroos would come through the town and in the morning you would just see thousands of there pellet shits through the streets...
If you really want to see some inhumanity you would want to report on what aboriginals in my town liked to do to wild pigs and kangaroos, I once witnessed them letting 8 hunting dogs just feast on a live pig. They had guns and could have shot the pig but that wouldn't be fun for them.
As for driving and hitting kangaroos that generally happens at low light hours, They will see your light from your car and suicide into it.

Just to be fair - I am fully aware of the kangaroo problems in some parts of the country. I'm not a city boy pretending like I know something about these animals mind you, I spent a lot of my youth out west and down south where the damn things were everywhere. My parents grew up on stations and spent most of their years hunting and killing roos and other animals, having to smash their heads over rocks when they ran out of ammo, all sorts of horrible things (hence why my mum's been vegetarian since she was 16) so they too are well aware of the situation. I live on the east coast of QLD now and the roos I'm dealing with are the more friendly and smaller eastern greys, and they're well loved around here. The article doesn't seem to mention where this happened, but it looks a lot like a big grey and not a red, which makes it even worse in my eyes.
I understand the need for culling and the really brutal shit that goes on out on those stations... can't save them all, but what these guys did just isn't right. Anyway, I get it, there's too many, a lot die horribly, but fuck, this kind of torture just isn't necessary and an example should be set. There are right ways and wrong ways to kill an animal, whether it's a pest or not.

Not having a go at you mate by the way. Lightning Ridge... I think I passed through there as a kid. We did a few road trips to Adelaide and I remember we spent a couple of nights at Walgett on the way to Dubbo... interesting experience that was haha.
I knew a guy who spent a fairly long time in Australia He gave the impression that kangaroos were virmin and he laughed about hitting them with his car
Come on, you're wishing death upon people, sentient living beings, your own fucking race, cause they killed a kangaroo. What they did was sick and twisted, but what you said is just stupid mate.
I value human life way above that of animals in almost any situation, but these "humans" went out of their way to torture an animal for their own amusement, then video it presumably so they can share it with their friends, or wank to it, or whatever the fuck they do. I don't think that's cool man. You have to be a twisted sick fuck to do this. A normal, healthy, mentally stable human being doesn't do that.

Hey man, that's perfectly understandable, but these guys didn't kill the animal to help cull their population, let's be honest.

I don't really think he's even unjustified in feeling that way, it's a pretty normal response for a person to wish death on another for atrocities committed.
It's one of the ways I think some of you guys can be way too left sometimes, y'all act like even thinking about violence against another person for any reason means you're a sociopath or something.

Ohhh, that makes more sense
I thought he was saying fantasizing about violence against other people escalates to real violence or something

Did not actually see his story, In reference to what he said I have had a similar experience. I saw a mother kangaroo get hit by a car she was killed instantly... But the baby some how flew out of the pouch and was completely fine and un hurt(still to young to run away) and the guy in the car got out pulled a sledge hammer out of the back and whacked it in the head and laughed and drove away.

Walgett is the biggest shithole on the planet, If anyone ever in Australia and loves Opal lightning ridge is the only place in the world that has the rare black opal.

sick cunt in australia is a slang term that means to show respect to someone.
"michael phelps won another gold medal"
"what a sick cunt"
Pepper;50925117']Jeez, i know they're pests out there but this is screwed up.
they're not really pests, they've been misplaced bc of rapid development in a lot of areas that used to be bush but are now housing developments
all they wanna do is get from A to B but they can be idiots and stand out in the road. If you see one you're supposed to let it be and not interfere or else you could get killed but other than that they only attack when aggravated
doing shit like this is beyond fucked and i hope the law comes down on them hard, there was no need to do this unless they were hunting it for food but even then this is beyond the realms of proper hunting

If these trash bogans can treat an innocent animal like this, they probably treat other people like garbage.
fuck them
Isnt this usually a warning sign of serial or spree killers?

I'd say this is more serial killer like;

What?
What?
The fact that he defends an animal on a level this far out, wanting someone to get ran over and stamped on.
There's been examples of people going on a murder spree due to some random animal.
There's been examples of people going on a murder spree due to some random animal.
Example?
Besides generally if someone treats an animal this badly to this kind of extent, they're a complete, massive fuckwit.
Let alone recording it to show it like it was some huge achievement.

How about you read the wiki article yourself?
he said at his trial that he murdered Fortuyn to stop him from exploiting Muslims as "scapegoats" and targeting "the weak members of society" in seeking political power.
Literally the first paragraph.

having a lack of empathy for those who do something perceived as heinous is not an uncommon human behavior. along with this, in the heat of emotion people can say things that perhaps they didn't entirely think through as an expression of anger, using hyperbole to show how much something upsets them.
It's still intense that you all get so winded up about a random animal, when it literally happens tens of thousand times daily a.k.a how the majority of food is produced.
I feel like this' a PETA forum, and it saddens me.

The animal was tortured, not stunned and killed humanely.
People should be angry at this instead of saying 'it's just a random animal'
I'm not against animals being killed humanely for a reason like food, not fun.

In Australia, this is a compliment
fuck late
Running it over on accident and then stabbing it to dispatch it quickly if it was suffering too much or taking it for food I can understand. But when you do that shit on purpose and then torture the poor thing because you are some type of sadist, what the fuck? Some people are complete assholes. Hopefully the media attention will fuck them over.

What, are we not allowed to feel horrified by how a non-human animal was treated?
Like, I get that humans eat other animals just like any other omnivorous/carnivorous species, but what they did (especially the additional shit like poking a cig into one of the kangaroo's eyes) was not even necessary for their survival in the slightest.
I value human life way above that of animals in almost any situation, but these "humans" went out of their way to torture an animal for their own amusement, then video it presumably so they can share it with their friends, or wank to it, or whatever the fuck they do. I don't find human life inherently more valuable. It's not logical to say that.
Of course subjectively or personally speaking I hold human life above all life, however I also personally find value in animal protection laws (like consumer protection laws) and ethical treatment, to an extent anyway. (Is it ethical to breed animals for slaughter simply because we like to consume steaks and other meat products so much? We don't need to, we want to.)
Also of course, what these men did was pure and simple animal cruelty, it goes against their own tendency to symphatize, and thus the ability in relation to other people is lessened as well, which is not good obviously.

That was some nice, out of the ass talk mate.
This doesn't happen a ten thousand times every day in slaughterhouses, that's different. Unless of course you hold some particular vegan values, then you would object to even the most state-of-the-art and "ethically" operated slaughterhouses out of simple vegan principles.
Anyways in response to your main concern: of course people will get winded up when they learn about terrible shit like this, that's not something new. That's what gets mobs going, and yeah it's concerning that mob attitude is still pretty strongly prevalent in internet communities, but gladly there are less opportunities to organize and act as a mob because most countries consider such activity as criminal offense and the police are expected to investigate each case thoroughly.
