As soon as its legalized EVERYONE is going to start growing it.
not everyone wants to bother getting the equipment i mean technically everyone can grow tobacco or brew their own alcohol but very few people do, it's only because it's illegal that growing cannabis is a widespread practice likewise it's easier and even cheaper to buy a prebuilt PC, eat out for dinner rather than cook at home, or hire a plumber instead of unblocking my drain myself why bother doing that stuff myself when i can just buy it? it's not my comparative advantage so both sides benefit if I just outsource it
As soon as its legalized EVERYONE is going to start growing it.
Heating, fertiliser, lighting aren't too cheap.
Where do you live? Alabama?
I brew dandelion wine every summer.
It doesn't really matter if people grow their own. As evidenced in this thread, shitloads of people make their own alcohol but it is still a massive industry.
Wouldn't the legalization of weed weaken the mexican drug cartels?
Wouldn't the legalization of weed weaken the mexican drug cartels?
A bit but probably not by much weed is small-time compared to the drug cartels, they're into the way hard stuff

The only problem about planting them in your garden every season is that some lazy ass neighbor near you might have a few male plants that pollinate the neighborhood. Then all you're females are garbage.

I hate weed as much as I hate cigarettes, I don't care as long as people smoke it somewhere where I don't have to deal with the smoke/smell. It would be weird to see weed sold at every corner gas station, haha
I can't wait for the large companies to take over production of it and to sell it cheaply in bulk. Economies of scales makes them more efficient than home-growers.
Smerked x1
Seeing all the drama about weed in the United States I'm happy that I live in The Netherlands.
I can't wait for the large companies to take over production of it and to sell it cheaply in bulk. Economies of scales makes them more efficient than home-growers.
You'd be surprised how expensive it is to grow industrially the legal way.
You'd be surprised how expensive it is to grow industrially the legal way.
Then surely it's just as costly and time consuming to do at home in bulk quantities? People grow tomatoes, but the vast majority of us buy ours.
The title of "weed" is largely apt, from my understanding. It is unusually hardy.
The problem isn't growing it in itself, it's that to grow quality weed you have to give it special care.
Fuck Mexico bud. If we import it from anywhere it should be British Columbia. Anyways enough people already grow it in America, and I prefer local growers.
BC dudes come to midwest with literally hundreds of kilos of pot every summer. So yeah we should be using local grown shit, hell you could even export from medical states like MI, or the quasi-legal states like CO.
The problem isn't growing it in itself, it's that to grow quality weed you have to give it special care.
This. You could stick a female seed in the ground with some regular manure as fertilizer, water it normally with your other plants, and you'll grow some pretty shwaggy ass weed. It's going to look and taste like dirt, but smoke enough and it'll get you high. Now, you set up a closed-loop hydroponics system, monitor the temperature, humidity, and ph levels, feed it the necessary nutrients and growth material and BAM you've got some serious danks.
As soon as its legalized EVERYONE is going to start growing it.
Everyone isnt brewing beer or making wine. People rely on others to make a product better than they can do on their own.
If his brand is known for its quality and grown legally in fields, it could mean a return of the land race sativas that used to be freighted into this country from Thailand and Hawaii during the 60's. It was the dankest shit and super cheap but the imports ended because of government crackdown, and hence why hydroponics took over. Unfortunately one shitty result of hydroponics was that nugs were bred specifically for their high thc content but other cannabinoids weren't paid as much attention to. These land race sativas were dank shit because they were grown probably much more nutritive soil, and hence why old stoners say the high was different. just a lil history lesson
Steve Ballmer's special harvest here's the logo [thumb]http://andrescanelones.me/imageuploads/KLHb.png[/thumb]
Here's a transparent version [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/J4MU/SteveBallmersTransparentHarvest.png[/t] I made it in the process of making this a TF2 spray, figure I should share it.
Then surely it's just as costly and time consuming to do at home in bulk quantities? People grow tomatoes, but the vast majority of us buy ours.
One of the reasons its more expensive is because of regulation, for example you have to track every single plant you grow from seed to fully mature plant, and document it all to comply with state laws.

Specialized people work to grow all sorts of crops, and Marijuana won't be an exception.
