You know, there is a reason rich people are rich in the first place..
...Except... it didn't. At all. It created a system that was set to fail from the beginning. Republicans boast about how it won the cold war, it won the cold war for one fucking reason. Escalation.
Not even that. The cold war ended because Gorby called it. If it had been a stroppier General Secretary of the CPSU, the cold war would be still on today. Granted, the status of the common man is russia would be fairly close to best korea by then, but would not have stopped them.

Like USA needs tax cuts.
Rich get richer.
The Economic Freedom Act of 2010 -- introduced by Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) -- proposes deep tax cuts favoring the wealthiest in America, a reduction in regulatory oversight and the elimination of a federal tax on the estates of millionaires, which will allow wealthy investors to escape taxes entirely on a significant portion of their income.
these are all terrible ideas and contributing factors to as why the US was in a recession for a while
The rich hire the middle. More tax cuts there means more jobs. Source is bias too.
That was their plan for the stimulus package, all that happened was the wealthy started hoarding money instead of opening up new jobs.
No, it was not.
9.75% is LA's sales tax on top of CA's sales tax of 8.25%
Rich people are bastards. Not big surprise.
Reganomics don't work in a globalised economy. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.
Oh for fuck's sake. Tax the shit out of the rich! THEY DON'T FUCKING NEED THE MONEY!
You know, there is a reason rich people are rich in the first place..
Yeah, there is, but it's not always hard work. It's luck, chance, work, and owning the fucking government.
Oh for fuck's sake. Tax the shit out of the rich! THEY DON'T FUCKING NEED THE MONEY!
But they earned it.
But they earned it.
Really? They've earned every cent in a totally legal manner, and not only that, they've followed ethic codes, and have never bought an official? Wait, that's a load of shit.
Really? They've earned every cent in a totally legal manner, and not only that, they've followed ethic codes, and have never bought an official? Wait, that's a load of shit.
Duh, because everyone rich got their money illegally. They're all out for the poor people. :downs:
Duh, because everyone rich got their money illegally. They're all out for the poor people. :downs:
No, of course not, but you're a naive fool if you don't think they've had their hands in as many politicians pockets as possible. Why wouldn't they? The only people that could stop them are the politicians, and politicians are greedy enough to give themselves raises based on nothing, so why wouldn't they take money? It isn't that the rich are out for the poor, it's that they want more money regardless of what it really takes.
Ethics and honor are all fine and dandy, but people throw those away to make a buck. As long as it isn't illegal, they earned it, one way or another. Heck, you dont need BOTH an X360 and a PS3...the government should take one away.

And you're calling me naive.
Haha, do you really think that most of the rich got their money from politicians? And you're calling me naive.
Uh, it's pretty common knowledge that a lot of industries have lobbyists manipulating the government, I think he has a fair point when he says you're being naive.
Haha, do you really think that most of the rich got their money from politicians? And you're calling me naive.
...Wow, you lack reading comprehension too. Other way around. [editline]03:54PM[/editline]
Ethics and honor are all fine and dandy, but people throw those away to make a buck. Maybe if you guys actually think, the ones who are rich did well in a particular field through hard work. You act like their all corrupt. You are selfish if you think they have less rights to their money than you.
Personally, I don't give a shit how the rich earned their wealth (most are born into it our they buy or sway their way there anyhow). All I know is that the middle class needs help, and there are millions who need even more help than our middle class. I find it repulsive that we allow people to sit on millions, sometimes billions, of dollars for their whole lives and live a life of excess and luxury. I find it absolutely disgusting that there are people who suggest we allow them even more leniency and give them fucking tax breaks so they can get richer while everyone else gets even less due to it. How one acquires their wealth is not an issue to me. How it is used is. But that's my socialist speaking. My libertarian says that it is theirs, bu then I remember that everyone getting fucked because a few hundred rich fat fucktards won't pay some taxes is alot more important.
Maybe if you guys actually think, the ones who are rich did well in a particular field through hard work. You act like their all corrupt. You are selfish if you think they have less rights to their money than you.
No one said that all rich people didn't unfairly earn their money, I can think of a lot of people that rose from poor to lower class living conditions and are now successful politicians or millionaires/billionaires. But if you think the system fairly distributes the opportunities to become successful and that their isn't serious corruption within our legislation than you're being a damn fool.
Probably won't go through. Republicans are nowhere near the majority right now.
Maybe if you guys actually think, the ones who are rich did well in a particular field through hard work. You act like their all corrupt. You are selfish if you think they have less rights to their money than you.
I don't think they have less rights to their money. I think they earned a lot of their money in a wrong way. Are you denying the existence of the lobby industry? Are you denying that corporations have donated millions of dollars to individual politicians, senators, governors, etc? I'm not denying their hard work. But you're naive if you think they all worked hard for the money they have. The rich get richer, the more money you have, the more money you make.

We should give all their money away so everyone else can have it. [editline]11:03PM[/editline]
I don't think they have less rights to their money.
So because you think that a few are corrupted, all the rich should be taxed more. We should give all their money away so everyone else can have it.
Corruption doesn't matter. The wealth is needed elsewhere. the needs of all supersede the luxury of few. Taxation is a fair form of wealth distribution, and they should not receive tax cuts. The hard workers are the minority. I thought this was pretty much an established fact since, like, the 1800s?
Dear god, the ignorance on this forum.
I'm probably giving the kiss of death tot he other side here, really.
