• Left 4 Dead 2 Not on PS3 Due to "Sub-Par Community"

How is this news? Valve has never tried a multiplayer game on PS3, they wouldn't know. TF2 was thrown on the PS3 without any care and they shitted everything up, just like every multiplat dev. Besides, Valve's games are shit on console. They belong on PC. As I've said before, the only reason they mess with 360 is for money. They didn't support the 360 too well, either.
PC will always be superior to console. But it's sad how many companies are jumping the console bandwagon.
for competitive gaming. The only thing I even play on my pc anymore is cs:s to participate in cevo-m/esea-im There are TONS of excellent console exclusive games, and you would be kidding yourself to think otherwise. @ 360 fanboys that say the ps3 community is horrible, I own a ps3 and a 360 and I think that XBL is a superior service (duh, you have to pay for it) I encounter JUST as many retarded kids on XBL as I do on PSN. Although I do see many more black people/mexicans on PSN, not gonna lie
Also, this "community" bullshit is such a lie. I don't see how that's possible that a console attracts a certain type of people. I've seen rich kids with 360s and poor guys with PS3s. I've seen both respectful and immature people on both consoles. The only difference in multiplayer on the consoles is that PS3 doesn't get headsets just for buying it. Maybe in a bundle, but still. Headsets/mics are pretty cheap anyway and a lot of people tend to buy them. In my past experiences, there's a lot of singing, swearing, and screaming that happens on 360 because everyone has a mic and you can hear everyone unless you mute them. On PS3 you don't hear much smack-talking because a lot of people don't have mics. I only add people with mics, unless they're really good and helpful. But really this is just blasphemy. Gabe is obviously telling his community managers or whoever to put out bad news on the PS3 so their current favorite console will prevail and they'll continue to make money off people buying games on it. They're 360 fanboys. A lot of Valve employees are straight from Microsoft anyway and are probably better with Microsoft's style of hardware. If they don't want to put it on PS3? Fine with me. I won't buy it. I know a few people who just might. Personally, I couldn't imagine playing Valve games on consoles. Valve builds games so that bad players get destroyed and great players constantly triumph.Take CSS for example: At least half the community is ridiculously good at the game, but still a lot of players get stuck in the dust, not even knowing some obscure yet helpful game mechanics. TF2 - it's the same thing. They put in "domination" for a reason - to make bad players want to get better all the while making a lot of people get pissed off when they're getting dominated. L4D - the players play the same level with no variation at all (except for a little bit, like item placement positions). Tanks come generally at the same time, all that shit. Generally, all their games put players on even grounds so that they are forced to either play hard and get better or feel punished and demoralized after playing the game. All their games attract a ridiculously competitive community that can even ruin some games' level of entertainment (L4D for example - the "pro" and "competitive" community has already almost taken the game over). Their games reward good players strictly, bad players will be left in the dust. TL;DR - Consoles should be left to games that can be played casually by casual players. PC should handle the competitive stuff. [editline]07:41PM[/editline]
for competitive gaming. I think the PS3 has figured out that I love playing with/talking to people with latino accents and black people, because I get put in their games a lot. :)
Well theres hardly any risk, they won't lose money because I know loads of people who would buy it for PS3.
Are you a troll?
They look the same as an xbox game, don't get cocky. How so? Not really.
i've found that ps3 exclusives have the tendency to look a bit better than 360 exclusives, strictly technically speaking. but both consoles can have equally pretty asthetics. until about 2 years after the PS3 released, almost all multi-plat titles looked better on the 360, be it slightly or by miles. now, the multi-plat titles look almost exactly the same on both consoles. this is the way it should be.
well 360 online is full of annoying halo players and shit. I guess it can't be that much better.
Well most of the annoying Halo players stick to playing Halo games. Oh sure you get a whiner every now and then but it's really not as bad as people say it is.
Although I do see many more black people/mexicans on PSN, not gonna lie
Holy shit you're right! I've joined COD games where the whole team was like "YO WUDDUP [NEGRO]", and I felt left out :( but then I was a good team mate and everyone was like "YO DOG IMA ADD YOU OKAY HOLLAA." I traded COD in for MGS4.
not "some reason" Cell. No one at VALVe knows how to program for it (at least not enough), and they're constantly working on titles, so there's no room for learning.
To dumb it down, Valve hates multi-threads. Yet technology keeps pushing towards it. I know that statement might be too general, but in a sense it is kinda true... Also, why should any PS3 owner care?! We don't have the first L4D, so it's retarded to only have the second one.......kinda like with that game Condemned 2: Bloodshot, in which the first title was a 360 exclusive.
there's as little online teamwork on the 360 as there is on the PS3, don't kid yourself.
The only times I've found teamwork on L4D was playing locally with my siblings or on PC with friends.
the first condemned title wasn't on PS3 because the PS3 was still a year off :downs: [editline]09:19PM[/editline] anyway: L4D 2 would still be nice for those PS3 owners who don't have a PC capable of running it. however i'm not one of those PS3 owners, nor am I one of those people who get FPS games on console when they have PC versions (unless the PC version is terribly gimped).
