• Canister of radioative material stolen from police van

This could still be dangerous issues if someone packed this with RDX, then blew it up in a very crowded ship or something in london. Wider effects, not just the initial explosion.
... oops?
My concern is, like the ruskies, the world is slacking off guarding radioactive materials. IF this WAS weapons grade shit and terrorists got their hands on it.. Game over.
What the fuck are you on about? Weapons grade uranium isn't thrown around. And it's not "game over", the day nuclear weapons are so common they are transported around in small cars, they'll be cheaper than a house on the black market. Why would a container full of radioactive material not have some sort of locator device on it?
Why would a container full of radioactive material not have some sort of locator device on it?
Radiographic test units are pretty common and locator devices are expensive
It is definitely bad when radioactive material gets stolen; sources of ionizing energy are usually very hazardous. Even if not weaponized in something like a dirty bomb, improper handling and/or disposal can yield big problems. Speaking of radioactive materials, is there any way to accelerate the decay of radioactive materials, like by pumping them full of electrical energy or zapping them with protons? The latter I've heard can transform elements if I recall correctly.

Man, Doc Brown needs to finally get around to installing the Mr. Fusion in the DeLorean. What was he doing in the UK anyway?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goi%C3%A2nia_accident
That poor girl, should couldn't even get a peaceful burial even if she was encased in lead and other materials.
