But we already have a spiritual sequel... ...and it's amazing
I thought Supreme Commander was the spiritual successor to the TA series?
I just hope they don't try to make it a F2P game.
More RTS games that aren't simplistic like Company of Heroes, while it is good, it's not the type of RTS I know and love.
now I'm more confused due to thinking PA was mostly official anyways, but I'm somewhat relieved and REALLY HOPE it doesn't look like plastic army toys glued to a beach ball because that was really offputting when I found out about PA
Yeah, PA lacks the grittiness and atmosphere of TA. It's probably a fun game in its self but aesthetically it doesn't float my boat.

If this guy can get a publisher to back him though he would probably be able to make something a bit better graphically.

Te original ARM campaigns were very good, the units and gameplay were fun and the maps were really beautiful for their time - personally, my favorite were the atolls because I was more of a navy guy. That's all I want at the very least - a version of TA that i can look at and still say, without any need for nostalgia goggles, that it looks amazing and plays as great.
Its interesting that there is so much sudden opposition to the art style, I remember when the kickstarter first started, a lot of people demanded that they keep THAT style. I feel like they did for the most part keep that very style.

Honestly I kind of hope they revive Kings & Castles Planetary Annhilation already will cover my "TA" itch, and SupCom: FA Forever is pretty much the pinnacle SupCom expeirence (which is basically an altered TA-style game in a different, more visually appealing [IMO] universe) Still sad that CT has gone through so much bullshit these past few years. He really needs to just get back to his roots and make big+ambitious RTS games again If they do bring back TA I do hope they make it feel really bad-ass and mechanical like SupCom did though, versus what PA is doing where its basically the semi-simplified "almost cartoony" visual style that TA had out of necessity.
