it was hinted at in the registry for a few months and they denied it

Hopefully they don't just release some news about halo 4 and screw us over.
Yeah, that'd be even more of a low blow than when Sega spent a month teasing something that looked to be some awesome new JRPG (Which many on GAF predicted to be VC4) only for the announcement to come and be "LOLOLOLOLOLOL A NEW FOOTBALL MANAGER, WE BET YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING."

I hate announcements of announcements. They lead to so much BULLSHIT.

It wouldn't be so bad if the level design wasn't crazy. Fighting the flood is easy when you're not completely fucking lost

Unless you are on a pc or on a next gen console where smarter AI should be no problem to do.
In reach they tried giving the AI more freedom but it ended poorly because the xbox couldn't handle it.

It was like fighting inside of someone's fucking lower intestine after they'd eaten a starship.

What exactly about Reach's AI turned out that poorly? I'm just curious.
(Also, that reminds me, apparently Destiny is going to have really good AI)

Driving AI had no preset paths or very few so they couldnt decide to go forward or back in most cases or other driving problems.
More things could be said but that is the only thing that got to my head atm.
I wouldn't say that the XBox was at fault, I mean Skyrim is on XBox and it handles the AI fine (Dragons were great) which is arguably much more advanced than Halo Reach.
It was just bad implementation to a engine that wasn't designed with advanced AI in mind.
8000+ Players on right now. What happened?
Eight thousand people online, yet still nobody playing Social Skirmish. Oh well.

Yeah i'd be up for some xbox.
what's the max player limit for co-op again?
8?
4
Fuck.
Started doing a Legendary solo run of Halo 3, the missions I needed to finish were Crow's Nest, then The Storm>Halo. Finished Crow's Nest on Legendary after 3 or 4 deaths, then skipped Tsavo Highway to do the rest. It wasn't until I got to Cortana that I realised it'd reset to Easy, and I thought I was just gliding through the levels... Kill me now.
I guess I'll just put it off until Monday.

Every time I play with that, GFWL ask to update
Guys, apparently Valve pays for official steam groups
why pay for a non-existant game, eh?
If that's not true, then I'm p.sure Microsoft have to pay for an AppID, something they also wouldn't do fr a nonexistent game
All steam apps have a steam group. Some apps are for testing. The CDR has no information proving towards Halo 3 on steam. Not a viable piece of evidence.

IIRC developers can hide info about the game from the CDR sites out there. I know that happened to Shadow Warrior Classic Redux about a month ago.
You can't really hide anything from the CDR, but you can afaik hide details for only authorized users. Halo 3-- no, it's not really on steam. No files are stored, it's just a blank app id.
CDR states its hidden, wouldn't that not show any changes made?
[editline]30th June 2013[/editline]
Because how do we know no files are stored if its hidden from the CDR.

and besides, wouldn't the fact alone that it's on there suggest they had plans?
I found Halo 1 to be pretty generic when I first played it, but I'm willing to give it another playthrough if they do release 3 on PC so I can play the entire trilogy. I never even bothered with 2 because they didn't plan to release 3 on PC.
them being in the steam registry alone, and the AMD drivers are pretty evident. the fact that they also said "we don't have plans" instead of "it's not happening" makes it even moreso

What are you talking about, it's piss easy to hide stuff from it. :v:
and that's what i suspect they're doing to avoid a leak/hype cause it's such a big title
