• The average US kid eats 5,000 calories of easter candy between Good Friday and Easter Monday

I don't about everybody else, but I ate a shitton more candy on Halloween than Easter.
I missed Sunday Lunch (too high) and I got a Lindt egg that tasted of shit Probably had like 40 calories the whole day
Because if it happens every year from when the kid is 5 to when the kid is 18 they'll potentially weigh 22 pounds more than they otherwise would*, assuming kids don't realize the extra calories and adjust their activity levels (which they don't, because they don't know about this) *worst-case scenario, (13 x 5000)/3000 It doesn't happen only on Easter either. Birthdays, Christmas, Halloween. Assuming all of those result in the same amount of Candy being eaten that's an extra 80 pounds worth of energy over the course of childhood, combine that with junk food served daily in school cafeterias or by busy parents and a lack of PE and you start to see answers for health problems
no stop making sense!! it's obama's fault my kids are fat
"and two liters of soft drinks between Good Friday and Easter Monday." I do this daily, I didn't know it was a big deal to drink two liters on a whole weekend. Shite.
"and two liters of soft drinks between Good Friday and Easter Monday." I do this daily, I didn't know it was a big deal to drink two liters on a whole weekend. Shite.
It was nice knowing you.
2 liters in an hour is nothing for me. Then again, I lose weight by eating junk food so it's whatever.
The government absolutely deserves a share of the blame So do schools, parents, the food industry, and advertisers
no I mean it is literally obama's fault that parents take their kids to Mickey D's for dinner 5 days a week I mean why would anyone ever take responsibility for the health of their kids??
Christmas meals aren't full of sugar.
Christmas baking has people eat more sugar than almost any other time. Plus a lot of food around christmas are fairly fatty.
"You are what you eat" [thumb]http://www.adintrend.com/upload_img/p31268.jpg[/thumb] they probably get so doped on sugar they feel like they're made of candy
How do your kidneys function?
Just fine as far as i know.
It was nice knowing you.
I've just had a full medical checkup and we'll see if i'm dying soon enough, RIP.
He'll be fine, although I'm not too sure about his teeth.
My teeth are fine, i look after them, you can eat what you want if you look after your health.
how is 'looking after your health' not anything to do with your diet tell me how you 'look after your health' and magically fix the problems 2 litres a day causes you
For Easter I ate an average of 5 chocholate eggs as a kid..
how is 'looking after your health' not anything to do with your diet tell me how you 'look after your health' and magically fix the problems 2 litres a day causes you
If he said he's fine, he's fine. If thats the way he wants to live and he's currently healthy, than let him. Hell it could also be diet soda for all I know. Which wouldn't be nearly as impacting either.
2 liters in an hour is nothing for me. Then again, I lose weight by eating junk food so it's whatever.
The number on the scale isn't an indicator of health so uh enjoy your diabetes and kidney disease I guess
They've been selling easter eggs in the supermarket near my uni for £1 each for about a month now. Stupid kids 5000 calories is nothing do you even egg?
Diet soda would be worse, artificial sweeteners have a whole different host of issues that go well beyond cavities or weight gain
Like what? The only real thing I've ever heard is similar to "It can give urges to eat more".
I can only eat one small chocolate bar before getting sick of it. I have a fuckton of large chocolate bunnies as well.
"and two liters of soft drinks between Good Friday and Easter Monday." I do this daily, I didn't know it was a big deal to drink two liters on a whole weekend. Shite.
hahaha oh no r.i.p
So uh, is the author just outright retarded or what? 5000 calories is nothing. He probably meant 5000 kcal which is a thousand times more, yet over the weekend not really that big of a deal. Not sure exactly what days count as easter but if its 5 days that's a decent increase over just a few days, this is no big deal at all. Of course you can't eat that much daily all year around, but this is a celebration.
Diet soda would be worse, artificial sweeteners have a whole different host of issues that go well beyond cavities or weight gain
Such as? Highly debatable, and depends entirely on the particular sweetener we are talking about.

Can't drink sugary stuff anymore, tastes awful, gives me cotton mouth and makes me feel weird.
how is this even a big deal, it's only for a couple days
because this chocolate bunny i'm looking at has 160 calories in it, and that would mean that 30 were consumed over the course of 4 days.
I got $20 and a trip to Olive Garden on Easter, I think I did pretty good.
Woah woah woah I made an observation, it's mind blowing if you give a dog food HE'LL EAT IT FUCKING EAT IT, I'm NOT EVEN FUCKING KIDDING
