If anyone thinks for a second that's what the riots were ever about, they're misinformed.
Well shit I guess I'm misinformed then.

The video and the .gif are two different things.
I just saw that vid on the riot facebook page. Hope all ends well up there.
I've got way more pictures and videos, but I thought I'd just post these two. And no, I didn't flip the car and light it on fire.

Ugh what the heck were you doing hanging out downtown while people were burning cars?
Also is anything still happening? Crowds looked controlled when CTV stopped airing coverage.
actually the riots are about how garry set the gold post limit to 1k instead of 2k
I don't get the kind of mentality with this stuff.
"Egads, my team lost! The only logical course of action that we can take now is to cause damage to public property and be a general nuisance!"
I'll never understand the thought processes behind die hard sports fans.
Somethings being done about it at the least..

The Middle East riots over corrupt leaders and the rising of democracy.
The West riots over fucking sports, even worseso is that the sport is hockey. This is embarrassing.

Probably checking out the burning cars
I mean, what are they expecting to accomplish with this riot? It's not like if they fill some imaginary 'violence bar' up that they'll time travel back to redo the match.
I'm fucking sick of my country. Everyone here is a fucking hockey cunt. Hockey isn't even a good sport, my entire family is fucking Vancouver crazy. I am so tired of it, they never shut the FUCK up
move to an underprivileged country and then learn to appreciate the freedoms you're given, you whiny fuck.

welcome to humanity
how may i take your order
I just got back from downtown.
I got off at Stadium station and immediately saw the two burning police cruisers across from the CBC plaza and could not get to the other two by the post office as the area was blocked so I went around the block and ended up at the intersection by the Scotiabank tower and The Bay and saw the other two cars burning and the looting going on at The Bay and then proceeded down a parallel alley and saw the car park and the burned out hummer.
Then continued over to Granville and followed the crowd until they reached Sears and started breaking down the windows and looting there as well. They also started raiding the Chapters too.
Then after half an hour the police started appearing at all ends of the block and started boxing in what remained of the crowd between the art gallery and Sears. Me and a few others jumped down into the slipway for the Pacific Center parking garage and they turned left and headed god knows where and I went right and passed some vacant parked cop cars and surfaced a block over and on the other side of the police line by the courthouse.
I then backtracked to Stadium station and went home.
Shit was intense, yo.
I was watching the livestream when I saw the teargas, rioters flipping over the car and burning etc
Was insane
All Americans are bloodthirsty warmongers I'm going to go riot because my favorite sports team lost.

This isn't a riot about losing at a hockey game, this is a riot because hockey. (Meaning, it would have happened no matter the outcome)
6 mooses died that night
that youtube video wont work for me, it says "removed due to youtube's violence rules"
what was it?
Fuck man I was there for all of it. I was on Georgia and Hamilton watching the game outside the CBC station and man, the second we lost people already started to riot. People were throwing shit at the screens, and then right down the street people lit a car on fire. The actual game itself was packed, at one point me and my friends were just stuck in a wave of people just being pushed. People were freaking out. I remember at one point my friend had his elbow in some chicks face and another guy had his elbow on the other side and she was literally just standing there, screaming and crying.
Also there have been like 6 deaths so far that I know of. 4 suicides and 2 Bruins fans were murdered. One was stabbed to death and the other was pushed off a fucking overpass. I was watching cops just fucking clubbing people and bashing them with shields in shit. I've never seen anything like it. Luckily for me and my friends though we got on the skytrain before they shut down all public transit. It was a fucking experience that's for sure.

a personal favorite of mine
From an aerial viewpoint, Boston and Vancouver look similar, as both had thousands and thousands of people on the street. I couldn't believe how many people gathered at the TD Banknorth Garden.

Jesus, it's as if all of the NHL fanbase is worse than the Laker's fanbase.
I'm disappointed in you Vancouver.
It is a fucking game. Get over it.
I bet some of these people did it just to be rebels not even because they lost.
