Good thing I hate shrimp then.

Speaking of things people ought to eat, someone should tell the nurse you've been hiding the antipsychotic pills under your tongue again.
rising corn prices are directly correlated to the food crisis that has been going on in the third world. if it was possible to substitute some of the food we consume with insects, the environmental impact of agriculture would lessen.
Okay that makes sense, I would imagine it being a huge uphill struggle though to get most people living in developed countries to start having a plate of crickets and chips for dinner though.
I've done my part by eating these:
Aaaah, Vodkalix Scorpion Lollipops! I remember seeing those on Firebox back in the day.
FP: "We need to solve world hunger and help poor families get enough food to eat!"
UN: "Try supplementing diets with insects. They are nutritious and easy to breed."
FP: "EW NO BUGS ARE GROSS!"
you all need to grow up. beggars can't be choosers.

I can't find the posts where people are saying that bugs are so gross that they refuse to let anyone eat them. They must be somewhere around here since everyone seems to be complaining about them.

When you think about it, Crabs and Shrimp are nothing but sea-insects... We just need to change our way of thinking.

But I don't like sea insects either :/
Dammit you westerners.
Insects don't taste that disgusting
I've tried fried mealworms in Thailand, it ain't that amazing. Its just crunchy. You don't taste anything disgusting.
I've tried fried mealworms as well, strangely we bought them at an amish country store here in missouri.
I really don't know about any other insects but aren't ants basically just too small to be gross? I could probably eat them.

I already can't eat shellfish because they remind me of giant sea mosquitoes, sea ticks, and sea spiders.
Fuck... as a matter of fact, and you can look shit shit up if you want, but crabs are related to spiders.

But sea monsters and crabs taste good.
Insects could help fight world hunger.
Or, food could just be distributed more evenly?

Maybe, I'm being socialist, leftist, liberal right now. But it's retarded that supermarket shelves are like always filled and none of it ends up in some African kid's stomach.
Or we could just support the development of GM crops.
You first, UN. Lead by example.
I feel like if you coloured a cricket prawn-colours, people would be much easier to convince.
It's the brown and green. We associate it with things you shouldn't eat when they're insects.
Heh, reminds me of when my uncle went to America and tried the frog legs they had there.
When asked "How many, sir?" he answered "A dozen or so, I guess" and the waiter just stared at him in horror.
It turns out they were bull-frog legs, and he was presented six plates of bigass frog legs, with dressings and all.
...
He ate them. My uncle did not fuck around.
Oh christ, what I would give to eat frog's legs; apparently they taste similar to scampi, and scampi is in fact langoustine, a small kind of lobster that I discovered I had a taste for last summer.
Are there any places that sell frog's legs in the UK?
Or we could just support the development of GM crops.
Why does it need to be one or the other?
Like 90% of the animal biomass on earth is insects, even if you were just using them as animal feed for pigs and chickens you'd be tapping into a huge food resource that could alleviate agricultural strain.
When you think about it, Crabs and Shrimp are nothing but sea-insects... We just need to change our way of thinking.
Generally they've got a fair bit more meat on them though, things are fucking delicious.
I reckon I'd give insects a shot. Little bastards could probably go down like chips.
I'm sorry even if bugs are nutritionally good for you I just can't stomach eating any of them. Sorry.
Prudes. Bug are extremely healthy, and in my opinion, delicious. It's pretty much the psychological part holding you back.

And what happens when we cause a serious blow to the Eco system by doing one more attack to the food chain?

That's not how insects and farming them works.
