wait what i wake up and get 44 dumbs for making fun of somebody who deserved it?
Yeah. These ratings brought to you by the same kind of people who don't understand that teenagers think much differently than they do. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] Ugh, looking at the ratings on the previous pages is just disgusting. Congratulations on failing to understand how psychology works differently at different ages.
I don't see how it's so impossible to understand that teenagers do dumb stuff, especially under peer pressure. I'm not going to say that all teenagers are dumb, but to act like they don't make stupid, dangerous decisions at least once in their teenage years is just deluded. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] Common sense for someone who's older, not someone who's 16? I'm sorry, do you really believe you made logical decisions all the time when you were that age? If so, you're sorely mistaken.
16 year olds aren't fucking morons, it's kinda easy to determine what is safe to do and what isn't
Natural Selection. Rate me dumb all you want, but if you can't listen to an elder that tells you specifically 3-4 times to not mess with a roof-hatch, then it's no one's fault then his self for not listening.
i don't think you know what natural selection is
We all do risky things. When I was a teenager, sometimes I'd fill in the crossword... with a pen.
16 year olds aren't fucking morons, it's kinda easy to determine what is safe to do and what isn't
I'm not saying they're morons, it's just hard to plan that an overpass is going to kill you, especially when you inherently are less likely to understand the risks of situations like these.
third times the charm..
I'm not saying they're morons, it's just hard to plan that an overpass is going to kill you, especially when you inherently are less likely to understand the risks of situations like these.
Exactly, so this could've happened to anybody.
I do not even like having my hand out my window when im driving, let alone stick my head out the top of a moving vehicle. I remember this happening before but the person was decapitated.
"he was just a kid we all do stupid things when we're kids" holy fuck this viewpoint is so obnoxious stupidity isnt proportional to age. he was old enough to understand that there was a life risk involved in what he was doing. and he did it anyway. it's sad that he died but it's in no way unfair.
Is there a video or pics?
Well. 4chan would appear to have gotten their hands on an after picture somehow. As well as the Facebook RIP group.
Jesus, that must have been terrible for the other 2 kids to see one of their friends fall down bloodied with no teeth. Th is why you listen to security guards. Shit can happen.
Any pictures of the incident? [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] I need them
He was probably with the group of kids who think of themselves as cool and edgy when he did this. Also he was 16, not 12, and he was warned several times by the guard, yet he still decided to do it. What would have he accomplished if this didn't happen anyway? He'd be cool or something? I understand that this happened because of the party atmosphere, but what he did was pretty fucking stupid and he probably traumatized other kids for life.
Why are you trying to hard to defend this teenager, Protocol7? It's not like he deserved it, but what else do you fucking expect when you stick your head out of double-decker bus? Especially when told not too? I'm not cool and edgy nor am I cold hearted. I feel for his family and friends, it's tragic. It's still his own fault though, he made the wrong choice to look cool and to get some kind of rush / good feel. I'm not saying I never made mistakes myself either, but I've never made an extreme life threatening decision. I value you my life. It would be selfish of myself to do something so dangerous and life threatening that could possible take my life, my family and friends would be devastated. I could never think of allowing my stupidity harming the people I love. It's just unfathomable.
Rest in pieces
Not THIS kind of dumb no, I think it's perfectly fine to assume that the majority of people don't do things like this. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline]
Yeah. And it's not like he's the only teen that has had a few drinks underage before. He may not have realized what he was doing at all, he was just unlucky. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline]
Any pictures of the incident? [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] I need them
Not you again.
Why are you trying to hard to defend this teenager, Protocol7? I could never think of allowing my stupidity harming the people I love. It's just unfathomable.
I'm not defending him. You all seem to be missing the point, so I'll bold it this time: The point isn't that the kid did something stupid. We all know he did. In light of how basic human psychology works, it's completely possible that something like this happens more frequently than you think. What I am trying to say was that: A) The kid made a poor choice, B) The kid was punished for his choice, and C) At 16 years old, even for stupid mistakes or poor decisions like these, it's just tragic that death happens to be the result. I hope that's clear enough.
At 17, only a year older than this guy, I can tell you for sure that the average teenager is NOT this stupid.
And this argument falls though once you realize that, hey, everyone who isn't you doesn't think the same way you do! [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] I'd also like to point out that I feel like you guys are grossly underestimating the amount of variables that could go into making a decision like this.
and I'm sure you obeyed everyone 100% as a teenager yourself difference being, you weren't killed for doing what teenagers tend to do
So, what you're saying is, you would be dumb enough not to listen to adults telling you NOT TO put your hands on an electric current (maybe wrong terminology, forgot the name for those) which can kill you? If your answer is yes, then it is a miracle you survived up to this date. [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline]
And when you're 16 it's hard to morally compare them both.
Where the fuck do you live in to assume that all teenagers at 16 years old are dumb as fuck when socializing.
Have you never done a stupid thing? Yes you have. And this stupid thing to do cost him his life. Does that make him dumber than you? No, it doesn't.
snip, quoted wrong and now I forgot what I wanted to really say. [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline]
Have you never done a stupid thing? Yes you have. And this stupid thing to do cost him his life. Does that make him dumber than you? No, it doesn't.
I trust you I haven't done anything stupid that could seriously endanger my life. And I'm still 15 y.o.
Where the fuck do you live in to assume that all teenagers at 16 years old are dumb as fuck when socializing.
To be adolescent is to be passionate, driven, and directionless. Most males (and females) are psychologically immature up until they hit about 23-24 years old. It's biology.
I trust you I haven't done anything stupid that could seriously endanger my life. And I'm still 15 y.o.
Still all that shit with "natural selection" is absolute bull. Yes, he did a stupid thing, but no, he is not any dumber than most live people.
To be adolescent is to be passionate, driven, and directionless. Most males (and females) are psychologically immature up until they hit about 23-24 years old. It's biology.
I could be watching it under my biased views, but IMO, it's not biology when you don't have the common sense to realize you can and WILL get killed from something as dangerous as pulling shit out of the moving bus, especially when others tell you so.
Any pictures of the incident? [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] I need them
Actually yes, there was a thread on 4chan-Random dedicated to this incident. And apparently the kid was moved outside of the bus where someone took a picture of him. His head was snapped pretty bad. Not exactly recognizable, very gory stuff. But when compared to the remembrance photo in OP, you can tell it was him. Though I don't understand why you would "need" those pictures?
And this argument falls though once you realize that, hey, everyone who isn't you doesn't think the same way you do! [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] I'd also like to point out that I feel like you guys are grossly underestimating the amount of variables that could go into making a decision like this.
I'm not saying me, I'm saying most of the people I know are not this stupid.
I'm not saying me, I'm saying most of the people I know are not this stupid.
"THIS" stupid? You and the dead kid, and everybody in this God damned world, have done stupid things, okay? This kid happened to DIE because of it, but that doesn't make him any dumber than you are, okay?
"THIS" stupid? You and the dead kid, and everybody in this God damned world, have done stupid things, okay? This kid happened to DIE because of it, but that doesn't make him any dumber than you are, okay?
It kind of does
