So what, their "Gaym Center" is pretty much Steam?
At first it was funny but it disappoints me how many people actually take the logo seriously.
Suddenly Linux share goes up to 30%.
I can't see why would any game developers use the Game Center over SteamWorks unless they are targeting exclusively the Mac OS X market for their games, Which is a crazy thing to do
For smaller casual and indie games it would make more sense to use Game Centre over Steam, as it is a part of OSX the average user will trust it more. Where Steam is third party and I'm sure you've seen the posts about parents thinking Valve will steal their credit/ debit details. But big developers will probably stick to SteamWorks.
Apple have the best graphical designers in the industry... And they designed that logo.
OS X Games Did big companies actually start using OpenGL for games or...? Oh wait, it's a stupid package repository full of casual games now isn't it?
Is that logo a joke? Looks like one haha.
No, Game Centre is the joke.
No, Game Centre is the joke.
the entire os is a joke whatatwist.qt

Make that happen Apple
What a creative name. On a less sarcastic note, I think it's nice that they're taking features from iOS (especially Messages), but it's not very innovative. I really hope Macs don't become iPads with a keyboard and no touch screen. EDIT: New feature called "Gatekeeper". It's anti-malware software that seems similar to MSE. God damnit Apple, stop the hypocrisy. If you're going to sue people for copying your shit, at least make sure you aren't blatantly doing the same thing.
I'm not seein' a Lynx.
They only need one more, then they've hit 11 and they can start naming them after something else.
Nevermind. God damnit Apple, stop the hypocrisy. If you're going to sue people for copying your shit, at least make sure you aren't blatantly doing the same thing.
It's ok as long as you can get away with it.
It's ok as long as you can get away with it.
They'll get away with it anyway, because money.
Are they going to patent lions?
What kind of name is that?
Apple names their OSes after big cats. OSX Tiger, Panther, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion. Not in that exact order but you get the point.
Why can't they just integrate steam? Who actually uses Gane Center anyways? Also they have dropped "Mac" from the name, it is now called simply "OS X". They've also added new iCloud functionality similar to Dropbox, and will provide APIs so that developers can allow you to save files directly to iCloud.
Welp, looks like I have to upgrade.
Why can't they just integrate steam? Who actually uses Gane Center anyways?
Because legally they can't.
Ever since Snow Leopard I haven't been interested in their smaller updates like these.
It's the same with upgrading from XP to 7, there you'll need Vista to between them. Though it's recommended to backup and then format Windows, instead of upgrading.
uh no what, you can go from XP to 7 it won't preserve anything (which is a shitty idea anyway for the most part) but will instead save all your old documents and programs in a folder "Windows.old" on the C:/ drive. A producer of an operating system has announced plans to release the next version of said operating system. So?
Is that logo a joke? Looks like one haha.
Its like I said in another thread about how Apple doesn't knows what to do next to make their shit better than its competitors and so resort to cheap ways to literally take them down by not letting them sell anything. With this, I see they truly ran out of ideas.
Microsoft better start getting some patents regarding game functionality, otherwise Apple is going to sue them for Games for Windows Live.
What would happen if apple sued valve?
What would happen if apple sued valve?
Something along these lines:
Why can't they just integrate steam? Who actually uses Gane Center anyways? Also they have dropped "Mac" from the name, it is now called simply "OS X". And make programs believe they're opening files from "/iCloud/<however the ass it's structured in your iCloud thingy>/filename.here". That way even programs that haven't updated in a while can support iCloud.
ok so they toss in some apps and call it an os upgrade wtf. oh and they ripped off growl too
