Er no I just defend saving a species because it's not gonna kill your kids and resurrect Hitler or something, you're the one who actually argues that an entire species should flatout disappear, because they don't fit your standards of living or whatever.
Oh sorry I didn't know zoos were puncturing on your personal wallet to save a species, it's not like it's part of their already established budget or anything.
Once again it's not your money. It's not like spending money on this is going to burn down houses and run lives to the ground. You make it sound like it's a MASSIVE issue or something.
Now you're just just throwing out insults at anybody who objects to your ideas or calls you out. Sounds like somebody is a little angry.
okay, show me the specific scientific research of them which is advancing and progress of it
If you were involved in this conversation enough to fetch source to back your opinions I'm sure you'll be involved enough to google that yourself.

Jesus you're trying so hard to sound cool and edgy.
The reason I'm "insulting" you two (read, criticize your opinions in a slightly caustic manner) is because your opinion is seriously not worth any more than that.

i'm arguing if the species is inevitably going to die, stop spending money on it

except they can use their established budget to spend on other shit that'll save other species along with habitat, and other fees?

where am i saying it'll be a MASSIVE issue, i'm responding to the morally righteous people like you condemning people because they'd rather have the money purchasing lesser expensive habitats and protecting other species other than pandas which is a wolly waste of money?

proof of burden is on you sonny
As to why the pandas eat bamboo, it's really linked to where they live. Being in very lush and dense forests that are literally filled with bamboo, it makes sense that they started eating the most prolific and available source of food, instead of hunting down meat (by the way most pandas can't taste meat because they've been eating bamboo for so long, even though they'll still eat meat if presented to them).
Oh by the way I'm not really bound to backing my opinion up with precise links when you can literally do a 5 seconds google search and get everything you need.
But that would mean you'd risk finding out most of what you're saying is completely taken out of context or flat out wrong, so yeah.

a study by professors has confirmed that trying to preserve pandas will raise our deficits five trillion while triggering nuclear warfare due to china's culture

Not worth the dosh mate.
According to WWF there have been more pandas in 2004 than in the 1980s so by that definition, the conservation system has been successful. So obviously they're reproducing but it could be that the process is just slow. I can't find the panda count in 2012 since most of the answers are just unreliable wikianswers.
Still shits and sleeps all day. Not worth the dosh mate.
That's pretty much the average life of 99% of animals on earth, mate.
Let me ask you this If pandas had died out, how much of a difference would it make?
Let me ask you this If pandas had died out, where would we be now? I think there would probably just be a considerably higher amount of bamboo.
I think you're so lost in your argument you don't even know what point you're trying to make anymore.
The fact you are constantly snipping stuff in and out of your posts is not a good sign either.
Oh and Pandas eat bamboo because they usually live in thick bamboo forests which provides good protection against predators, at the expense of available meat. It worked well until we started fucking the whole thing up.
Once again if Pandas have always been so bad at breeding they would have already disappeared a long time ago.
Now, not to get too involved in this shitstorm, but if you're a bigass bear, and you need protection from predators, you're kinda doing it wrong.

Pandas are slow as shit and not as big as other bears.
I think you're so lost in your argument you don't even know what point you're trying to make anymore.
I just re-worded it.
I Still don't see the point in saving them. But this argument is getting nowhere, so I'm going to go do something else. Whoever won is up to you.
And to be honest I just wanted to see how many people shared my idea. Sorry for causing trouble.
I just re-worded it.

Maybe because we're starting to feel bad about all these species we killed off by being inconsiderate dicks and we're trying to fix it by saving species we have put in a state of endangerment ?
Pandas are slow as shit and not as big as other bears.

Males can weigh up to 160 kilograms
Well, if you weigh twice my weight, have friggin' claws and fangs, you better not be needing protection from bamboo.
Well, if you weigh twice my weight, have friggin' claws and fangs, you better not be needing protection from bamboo.
160 kg for 6 feet/180cm makes you super-slow.
Not to mention their predators are usually leopards and jackals. Not the kind you can just bitchslap and get it over with.
160 kg for 6 feet/180cm makes you super-slow.
And SHOULD give you a mean friggin' punch with them claws, if you weren't a lazy wanker. No wonder they have two black eyes all the time.
why dont we just give pandas some porn mags and put the semen in the female pandas manually
Well the porn thing has already been tried, but it didn't work out.
For female insemination, it's been tried, but we're just beginning to reach a decent level of expertise to actually consider this technique reliable.
And SHOULD give you a mean friggin' punch with them claws, if you weren't a lazy wanker. No wonder they have two black eyes all the time.
Their predators are usually way too fast to make brute force a good option. You can't just give a leopard a punch because it's very rarely going to attack you from upfront and it's very rarely going to go down in one hit.
Pandas have been witnessed to be pretty aggressive, especially mothers when their children are threatened, but because of their weight and size they just can't leave right out in the open where leopards and jackals would have zero difficulty killing them. Staying in thick bamboo forests usually protects them from predators who are way too aggressive for them.
I think nature wants pandas dead.
I mean, if you have to be forced to perpetuate the survival of your species, it's not too bright for you.

We kind of were the ones who put them in the shit the're currently in.
We kind of were the ones who put them in the shit the're currently in.
That may be, but they sure are making it difficult for us to redeem ourselves.

what
you're blaming panda's for not being smart enough?
panda's aren't even self-aware
what

I'm not blaming them for not being smart or self-aware, and I'm not saying that actions taking by us didn't get them into this mess.
I'm just questioning their chances of ever recuperating as a species.
yeah lets just fuckin let all the beautiful things that nature has created just die out because we consider ourselves the best species and dont give two fucks about anything else.
nature didn't create anything and if there weren't intelligent self-aware beings on the planet than beauty wouldn't exist
Maybe at a moral viewpoint. But scientifically, its a freak. Natural selection has been trying to get rid of this thing for centuries, and here we are wasting thousands of dollars trying to prevent the inevitable.
I still believe the only reason we want to save them is because they look "cute".
If it were some ugly ass thing nobody would care.
Its true. Prove me otherwise. I'll praise you.
speaking of things that natural selection should kill off.
Man, losing your only cub in five years must make you a sad panda.
