I never denied anything about MLK, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. Ok, what rock do you live under? Are you not aware of the bills that are being passed/have been passed in Florida, Texas, and others that would ban transgender people from using their preferred bathroom? In Florida, it makes it illegal for a business to allow a transgender to use their preferred bathroom, even if the business is fine with it. Did you know that Oklahoma is trying to pass a measure that would ban regulation on conversion therapy? Did you know that Oklahoma is trying to allow the clergy to get involved with marriage licenses in an attempt to prevent gay marriage? Did you know that it's legal in many states and cities to fire/deny serve to someone based on sexual orientation or gender identity? As it stands, most insurance companies won't pay for anything transgender related and some will even try to claim that illnesses/injuries are a result of being transgender so that they can refuse to pay for things. My own insurance refuses to, and I quote, "Cover anything leading up to or related to a transexual surgery". It's very hard to be independent when you're someone that people have no qualms with attacking, beating, or even killing. You have to balance safety with fighting for rights. So, please. Don't lecture me on my "rights" when I have so few compared to you.
Oh did you know that Oklahoma can also be fought by the people for the people kind of statement? You know, if the people don't like it, then we can fight it, make a fucking petition, get people to sign up, thats what thats there for, if your really going to Lecture me on my stance on how you can fight to protect what you love, then thats your problem, but i am fighting, and i am transgender, and i don't give one flying foop if oklahoma wants to prevent me from converting, cause ill fight for it and sue them if they dont give me my american rights.

I"ll be amazed if I'll be able to change my name in this state, given how the judges are so bigoted. Although, that seems to be more towards transwomen rather than transmen. However, it's hard to say given that there's so few transmen. As far as petitions go, that's going to be very, very hard to do in a red state that's conservative and highly religious. Things are changing, yes, but not nearly as fast as the more liberal states.

I know because my parents keep trying to do that to me, and their bloody christians and I'm Atheist, You know, I know the pains of being a Transgender thats going from Male to Female, the peeps who wanna tell me that what im doing isnt right, but i will continue to press on till it takes my life for it. So yea, if it means that im not respected like everyone else is, then so be it, but i will fight for it. Oh and for this convo, i do see where you are, and i support you 100%, and this is just a debate, not a arguement, Sorry if this seemed like a idiotic arguement.
I'm in an honor fraternity and the fee's like $100 a semester, the cool thing about honor frats is that it's co-ed and everyone has individuality, I would never join a social fraternity filled with dude-bro's. Some of the hazing stories are terrifying.
