Shit, I'm suprised how calm he is about this. Although that 1.2 mil coming his way must make it a bit easier to take.
there's been a lot of these sort of cases like this lately..it makes you wonder how many people are in jail for crimes they did not commit.
The A-team was but then they were like "Fuck that shit :madmax:" Broke out and fought crime while dressed as women and cheerleaders.
Unfortunately in any system like this things will happen. People will be wrongfully imprisoned, and wrongfully let go.
probably because he's black
That's what he was implying..
It may serve to galvanise a national movement of lawyers and activists who have used DNA evidence to free more than 250 inmates since 1992, almost all of them black men
This makes me pissed off, not the releases, but the jailings.
I'm just glad we have technology that helps us prevent false incrimination.

That picture is so happy and sad at the same time. 28 years for nothing :saddowns:
I feel bad for the guy...
That picture is so happy and sad at the same time. 28 years for nothing :saddowns:
Could've been worse, he could've walked out of jail to find everything all post-apocalyptic. You know...28 years later...:downsgun:
fuck yeah gel electrophoresis to the rescue
It's stuff like this that makes me wish I was religious. See how his faith gives him the motivation and drive to wake up and face each day? I'd probably crack under that situation.
I'd rather be self-motivated and have my own drive due to my own achievement and persistence along with other qualities than get it from a religion.
I'd rather be self-motivated and have my own drive due to my own achievement and persistence along with other qualities than get it from a religion.
Self motivation only gets you so far when your facing imprisonment for the rest of your life for a crime you didn't commit.
Could've been worse, he could've walked out of jail to find everything all post-apocalyptic. You know...28 years later...:downsgun:
yeah but the world is still going to be very different for him
At least he's a musician and can do what he knows. Every time I see this kind of thing happening the freed man has no idea what to do with their lives now that they're freed.
Self motivation only gets you so far when your facing imprisonment for the rest of your life for a crime you didn't commit.
Indeed but lying to yourself and self-deciept also only get you so far too.
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness my ass.
If I read your post right, my response is gtfo faggot.
I think he was joking that his hug is big enough to be rape.
This picture was taken just before he was seized, arrested, and sentenced for life again for convicted rape of an African American woman and man.
Be glad that you weren't in jail for 28 years for doing nothing.
I was making a joke that they locked him up for rape because of stupid evidence because they did so in the first place. Didn't mean to offend. I'm happy for the guy.
"better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer" I wish our legal system reflected that, making sure no innocent people were judged guilty.
Must suck so hard to lose 28 years of your life with family and friends. He deserves more than 1 milion. Atleast maybe 8.5 milion.
