If America fucks up and makes the first move then they'll have less support if it comes to a war, and then they'd be in yet ANOTHER war draining their economy, maybe Iran is onto something. That and I doubt that if it came to it Iran would hardly be a pushover Like Iraq. They got some Major suppliers.

Why are we talking about taking on the Iranians when this actually presents us with a very unique opportunity? These are Iranian soldiers, sailors and possibly even civilians outside of Iran. That means we can communicate, interact even.
I see this as a possibility of "un-demonization", if you will. Sort of the reverse of dehumanizing.

This is the twenty first century. We use missiles these days, and ships aren't armoured. Guns are very much secondary or defensive weapons that are mostly used for threatening and boarding unarmed ships.
