• Fox News: 15 YEARS OF FAIR & BALANCED

The fair and balanced part is that they also bring Democrats on to discuss things, not the actual broadcasting, which is clearly right wing.
Fox has 100,000 liberal guys watching it 24/7 looking for any possible mistake. Get that many conservative guys watching the other networks and it'll be exposed for three times as many mistakes.
since when is republican propaganda fair and balanced?

could they not raise a lawsuit and get fox news off the air, or at least a disclaimer on the show noting it's unbalanced?
could they not raise a lawsuit and get fox news off the air, or at least a disclaimer on the show noting it's unbalanced?
Personally, even if I did hate fox, I wouldn't give the goverment the right to police what you are able to say. That is completely unconstitutional, and completely immoral.
could they not raise a lawsuit and get fox news off the air, or at least a disclaimer on the show noting it's unbalanced?
It doesn't need to be balanced because they're legally not a news outlet.

Maybe it's just me, but he sounds like a political version of Yahtzee.
It doesn't need to be balanced because they're legally not a news outlet.
And yet they're not only legally allowed to call themselves a news outlet, but they refer to themselves as "Fair and Balanced" while screaming about the media's liberal bias.
It doesn't need to be balanced because they're legally not a news outlet.
They are legally a news outlet, but they went to court claiming that the First Amendment allows news channels to lie, misinform, and basically say what they want.
Fox news reminds me of the news channels of C&C
Fox news reminds me of the news channels of C&C
Except those were more grounded in reality.
FAIR AND BALANCED
[sp]for the Republican Party[/sp]
I like how they used Fair & Balanced. That could mean anything. Fair & Balanced to who?
I like how they used Fair & Balanced. That could mean anything. Fair & Balanced to who?
Misogynistic racists.

Edit: Reading some of the comments, I came cross this.
It is the birthday of Fox News but I've never seen it's long form birth certificate so, you know, illegitimate.
Genius.

It's generally accepted NPR is left leaning, yet their programming probably has the most 'fair & balanced' news.
They are legally a news outlet, but they went to court claiming that the First Amendment allows news channels to lie, misinform, and basically say what they want.
Yet another reason why the First Amendment is flawed.
;32683661']Personally, even if I did hate fox, I wouldn't give the goverment the right to police what you are able to say. That is completely unconstitutional, and completely immoral.
No one is saying censor fox news Sluggo,of course you would read that out of it. But a television station that claims they are fair and balanced and has the largest share of viewers and ISN'T actually a news channel so they are allowed whatever bias they want, you'd think, you'd think for one fucking second sluggo, that you wouldn't just let these people misinform your country and turn them into YOU
I've always viewed Fox News as a source of fake entertainment, like the WWF.
It's so sad Fox News is the most viewed "News" Channel in America. I remember this one guy argued in defense of Fox News: "Just face it, it's the only news channel that isn't leaning towards your political views so you hate its guts, please stop being mad that people have different opinions than yourself" I had no idea that all those viewers who are consistently misinformed according to studies are actually not misinformed, they just have "different" opinions :downs:
NPR, go ahead, I dare you. It's generally accepted NPR is left leaning, yet their programming probably has the most 'fair & balanced' news.
oh no no one is going to fuck with my NPR. they allowed me to hear Bjork's Biophilia long before release and that transcends facts!
In political science, some girl got really butthurt and started ranting about how FNC was the only real honest news channel and that only real patriotic Americans have it as their only news source. My teacher's response - "If you only had once source cited on a research paper, that would be a problem. You don't see the problem with having only one source cited for your life?" She said no :suicide: [editline]8th October 2011[/editline] It's that there is almost no emphasis on critical thinking in the American education system that creates people like this. The entire education system is geared towards standardized tests to determine the funding they get, so people graduate without even knowing the Inventional system. It makes me sick.
ask her if it's okay for a news corporation to digitally edit people to make them look sinister or to allow opinion shows that call people racist with no merit or shut off microphones of people who state facts that destroy their argument or put out a memo each day to tell its presenters what to say and how to say it

Especially for the first. I just want to know more lol, that sounds fascinating.
first one: http://mediamatters.org/research/200807020002 and bill o'reilly is the king of it, this video has just one example of him http://youtu.be/vTkFU4MtubU
I've always viewed Fox News as a source of fake entertainment, like the WWF.
The World Wildlife Fund?
