Idiot
You've proved my point. Good day.
Good job France, you have prevented piracy in one small part of the world.
Well if it works, other countries will adopt the same policy. Then pirates will finally be stopped from costing me money.
Lawless zone? What? Internet is a zone? It's not a zone onto which you can just dump stuff into, it's a series of tubes
Oh well, this just means all the French geeks will move to Quebec. But then they'll realize that the driving is shit, so they'll leave.
Why the fuck are they trying to stop piracy. There is a hell of a lot of worse shit on the net. Terroristcamp is one of them.
Fuck the government they will never get me. :ninja: Ps: I am not french. :britain: And this is old news this was passed like 2 months ago.
International waters? I know there are pacts but those arn't exactly "laws"
That's true I guess but there's no civilization on international waters. Where in international waters am I going to find free movies and music?
Antarctica.
I like the cold...but there's nobody there to take advantage of the lawlessness of it. What am I going to do, acid with some penguins?
Well if it works, other countries will adopt the same policy. Then pirates will finally be stopped from costing me money.
Not really. I liked your little "Bad attempt at explaining piracy" comment because it's obvious you don't understand it. People will always and have always stolen things- it's an assumption of the system. To think anyone can outright destroy it is silly, as someone devises a new way to stop a pirate the pirate devises a new way to get around the stop. What you should be doing is embracing the fact that right now, with the way the system works, the internet is basically a free area for you to roam. Why wouldn't you take advantage of it? Killing of e-piracy will never save you any money either, remember. Prices are not dictated by what they're worth so much as what a company thinks you think it's worth.
People will always and have always stolen things- it's an assumption of the system. To think anyone can outright destroy it is silly, as someone devises a new way to stop a pirate the pirate devises a new way to get around the stop.
So, what you're saying is... "Piracy will always exist. So trying to stop it is pointless." This just proves you understand less about it than I do.
Why wouldn't you take advantage of it? Because unlike you, I respect the law, and for good reason. Killing piracy won't save me money? I'm in the film industry. I'm a Gaffer. Pirates are the reason I only recieved half the money I was owed for 6 months of work. So yeah, all you're doing is proving my point. Try all you like, there is simply no way to justify e-piracy, and the only reason anyone would be against this new policy is if they're too fucking lazy to go out, get a job, and learn to PAY for games, music and movies.
Sucks to be French I guess...
So, what you're saying is... "Piracy will always exist. So trying to stop it is pointless." This just proves you understand less about it than I do.
Really? Because I could've sworn there always have been and always will be criminals so long as it pays good. All you have here is a notion that crime is bad. Tell me kiddo, given you obviously aren't from or in a bad neighborhood, how the hell is a discriminated teen with no education going to make money in a hellhole slum? Selling crack makes better money than my current job does. Sure, it's illegal, but it in and of itself is part of the economy. Crime is, has been, and always will be part of any good economy. Do you think the U.S. would tax illegal income if it wasn't? Why do you think the main solution among musicians has been to ditch large labels with fixed distribution in favor of doing things on their own? Might it have anything to do with the labels getting more of this money than they ought to? Hmm? What about the fact that there a bands who actually encourge their music to be stolen? NIN did it once, Gnarls Barkley "leaked" their own album, etc.
Why wouldn't I take advantage of it? Because unlike you, I respect the law, and for good reason. Huh. I've also been stiffed on another project at another firm because the client just refused to pay, and being a larger company (Smithfield, huge U.S. pork company), they figured they could hold out in court longer than we could. Eventually I was paid out of the pocket of my firm's boss, as a courtesy. You think killing piracy would help your (Suspected to be nonexistant) job? Open your fucking eyes kid, that's not how the world works. Edit: I work bike assembly these days, along with freelancing drafting, and I must say, the easiest justification I have of piracy is that I want something and I don't need to spend money on it, so I won't. My money is better spent on tuition, food, and equipment. Feel free to call it wrong, but it's the way the game is meant to be played.
Nobody likes them anyway.
Yeah, England and the U.S. is always having to bail them out of their problems.
I feel better about being a french Canadian now... Suck it cheese-eaters :v:
most french don't even know how to talk english properly (and i've noticed this alot)
So are you French, then?
Honestly, I think it should be two strikes. One to hit your stupid teenager and two to hit yourself for not hitting him the first time.
most french don't even know how to talk english properly (and i've noticed this alot) So i think, in the name of facepunch, that sarkozy needs to put a dick in mouth His wife's dick
A French can easily learn English. But it's harder for an English to learn french.
A French can easily learn English. But it's harder for an English to learn French.
A Frenchman can find use for English. But it's harder for an Englishman to find use for French.
Holy Hades. Someone is stepping up to the plate to battle net piracy? And it's the French, of all people! I'm looking forward to how this turns out.
A huge load of crap.
Haha, your entire argument hinges on the point of view that "crime pays, so it's worth it." Since that statement is simply wrong, you have no argument. Good day.
For a language consisting of poo poos and wee wees it's hard to believe that french is considered the language of love.
...give Germany France's language and it can still be considered the language of GERMAN love.
...give Germany France's language and it can still be considered the language of GERMAN love.
Funny.
You wouldn't be the first. Yeah, that is kind of sad.
Sigh... Please try to make a proper argument instead of covering your ears and screaming "I'm right, you're all wrong"
I could, but everybody knows why piracy is bad. I'd just be repeating shit everybody knows. It's not my fault people choose not to pay attention, or choose to twist the facts so that it makes them feel like they're not doing anything wrong.
Haha, your entire argument hinges on the point of view that "crime pays, so it's worth it." Since that statement is simply wrong, you have no argument. Good day.
Since the statement is time-honored, proven by every generation of humanity and practiced by some of the greatest men in history, I'd say someone here is just a little butthurt.
You can't ban the interwebz... FOOLS!
Since the statement is time-honored, proven by every generation of humanity and practiced by some of the greatest men in history, I'd say someone here is just a little butthurt.
Okay, I'll rephrase that then. Crime DOES pay, quite handsomely. That is until you go to prison or wound up getting shot by those you've wronged. Do you really see no problem at all with cutting down others just to prop yourself up?
Nope.
I hate France's government. But France looks awesome. Whores! Yay!
Nope.
Well then, enjoy your life.
Idiot
Rated agree.
It seems I'm the only one cheering at this news. Good on them, the French finally got something right. (waits for poorly written arguments trying desperately to explain why piracy isn't wrong)
Rated funny. The hurting kind. Expecting a stupid "lol you are proving my point you have no arguments haha i suck" post. I need no argument, everyone disagrees with you from before
