All he did was say what rich, entitled Republicans think. They stopped being poor, why can't everyone else? Or, well, their great-granddads stopped being poor. They just inherited it...
How can he even breathe when his head is so far up his ass?
American healthcare can certainly be the best, but only if you're incredibly rich.
Oh hey I'm from Knoxville :D
It won't let me watch it on the link for those outside america
Your poor, stop being poor!
Well then, If you have aids, stop having aids. Oh wait, that doesn't work that way.
I wonder if he's really that dumb, or if he knows he's full of shit and is lying out his ass. The majority of the poor are the working poor. And I love that "everyone loves a free meal" bullshit: people on welfare probably eat less in a day than he does in a single meal.
How can he even breathe when his head is so far up his ass?
With the help of high tech lung implants. They were very expensive.
The cure to not affording healthcare is getting your GED and having a job for over a year!
I fucking hate this goddamn country.
This country that is made up, mostly, of lower-class citizens? So, collectively, you hate the poor and also think they should just "stop being poor," or did you mean you hate assholes IN this country?
That guy was right on the money when he said "If you can afford it" If I have something minor wrong, I won't even go get it checked out because I still have to pay a lot. I was in such pain once that I just had to get something for it. I was in the empty hospital at 2 AM for 10 minutes, I got a single shot of a longer lasting version of Novacaine, and they gave me 2 tylenol with codene rather than actual pain killers because people in this country abuse the system and ruin it for those who really need it, and then I left, back in pain again 8 hours later for another 2 days. But I was able to get some sleep for the first time in 3 days, so that was the most expensive nap ever $600
I live in Knoxville, and have great healthcare. It covers everything, down to 5K free yearly dental. Because my dad is a representative for a successful union.
I saw a picture about the costs of being in hospitals in America. One of them was like 400 000 something dollars. And it was pretty much how I was in hospital several days when I was young. My parents (and probably me too) would be in so big debts that we wouldn't be able to pay them at all. I mean, houses here cost 300 000€ and that would be tight for me, now imagine that times 5 or 10. I'd just kill myself. Thank fuck at least healthcare makes sense here.
American quality of care is great. if you can afford it.
This. It's like the education system. Overall it's nothing special, but the US does have some of the best universities in the world. Doesn't mean anything when you can't afford to go there, though.
At minimum wage full time here I can earn between 10 and 11K yearly. How am I supposed to afford a house? Work for 20 years, sure. In a world with no other expenses. How is a person working paycheck to paycheck supposed to accrue any value? They don't. broken voters, broken politics, broken laws, broken country
Actors. Infotainment. Classical conditioning. How does it feel to have all your red & blue opinions shaped by the corporate media?
Actors. Infotainment. Classical conditioning. How does it feel to have all your red & blue opinions shaped by the corporate media?
ooh, watch that edge there
Reminds me when I was about 10 and my mate told me to "stop being short sighted"
ooh, watch that edge there
Classic [del]Tengil[/del] Katla
Guys we have the solution. We should just stop being poor. Because everyone who's poor can stop when ever they want.
ooh, watch that edge there
Did you get cut? You can always ease the pain in your mind by reducing everything that is sharp down to a blunt edge. Avoid all the edges. Ignorance is bliss.
Actors. Infotainment. Classical conditioning. How does it feel to have all your red & blue opinions shaped by the corporate media?
What

I went in and watched about 4 ads, only for it to tell me it's not available in my region. I hope robbing those minuets of my life was worth it America!

[editline]13th March 2014[/editline] I'm fine here in Sweden unlike you obviously!
Indeed as you all keep saying American healthcare is great if you can afford it. Which leaves the vast majority of Americans (and almost all American facepunchers) with crap healthcare. So who cares if it's great for the super rich, except for the super rich?
Why wold anyone say that the US has or ever had the best healthcare system? In Germany I can go to every fucking doctor I want and it's basically free.
In Germany I can go to every fucking doctor I want and it's basically free.
I have a friend there that tells me it's not free? More accessible than America's, but not free.
I have good healthcare, but I'm in a well paying / salary job - wouldn't call myself rich though.
