I have good healthcare, but I'm in a well paying / salary job - wouldn't call myself rich though.
I'm salaried and allegedly have good healthcare but I'm way averse to going in for anything right now because I still don't feel I can comfortably part with the cash needed for whatever co-pay ends up getting slapped on me at the end. Sometimes it's $30 to be told "I know it looks like you've got a serious virus but go buy a bottle of advil at walgreens", other times it's "your insurance DID cover the $30 for the two advil capsules we gave you but the rest of your visit cost $300 to sit in the office while we had someone dig them out of the cupboard"
I have a friend there that tells me it's not free? More accessible than America's, but not free.
I don't even need American healthcare to be free. Obviously that would be the best ultimate outcome, but I'd be happy just to see it affordable. When an ambulance ride to the hospital, before you've even received any treatment, can set you back two to three thousand dollars, you've got a major problem. When simply being admitted to the hospital once you've arrived, and having a doctor agree to come look at you, costs you another thousand dollars, again, before any treatment is administered, well... I'm sure we're all seeing the pattern here, right?

Simple things like this is where shit really starts to pile up, yeah. Getting two advil at the hospital actually probably costs a hell of a lot more than $30. Hell, a simple bandaid can cost as much as $150, if applied in the emergency room. A bag of saline, literally saltwater, can cost several hundred. There's no excuse.

Well you pay for it by contributing a set percentage of your payroll but since it's like that for longer than My parents live you do not notice that.
Did you get cut? You can always ease the pain in your mind by reducing everything that is sharp down to a blunt edge.
Avoid all the edges. Ignorance is bliss.
The excuse is everything is vastly overinflated because they're trying to go for the Insurance Company's deep pockets. Unfortunately when it comes to no-insurance, you're just kinda fucked. I heard you can try to negotiate the price if you aren't insured, but I don't know how realistic that actually is.
