Someone please save us from Disney and the huge ammount of movies to come. New movies with and without 3D, and then when they run out of them, cross overs between them with and without 3D, and maybe 4D aswell for all of them.
And then infinite copyright.
So much fucking win from this.
And then it turns out Hitler wrote all of them in his declining sanity near the end of the war, and that explains everything
This made me question again why Hollywood can use all those german fairytales without germany seeing a nickle from it. Its cultural assets, wouldnt it only make sense that germany gets a part of the profit made based on its stories?!
Oh- well they're sure to be absolutely fucking terrifying then. I mean, the Bavarians celebrate Christmas traditionally with the Krampus for God's sake: (For those who don't know what this is, the Krampus is an accomplice of St. Nicholas who follows him around on Christmas Eve and helps him present gifts to good children. He stuffs the naughty children, on the otherhand, into the basket he carries around on his back. Then he takes them home, kills them, cooks them, and eats them for dinner.)
I've had ol' Krampus visit me every Saint Nicholas Day as a kid, along with the man himself. Us children would always make plans on how to get rid of the fucker, setting traps and all, but when he came we were scared shitless. I also grew up with the Struwwelpeter Book. No wonder I was tormented with nightmares as a kid. Look at that cover! Other Stories of Heinrich Hoffmann include the girl with the matches. It goes like this: There once was a light-hearted, cheerful girl. One day when her parents were out, she played with matches. Cats were all like "No, You'll set fire to your dress" But she was all "Man, fuck those guys" Then She did catch on fire and fucking burned to death. Goodnight. The Stories of Wilhelm Busch were pretty messed up too. In Max und Moriz two boys play pranks on the townsfolk until the miller throws them into his corn grinder and crushed them to chunks for the ducks to eat. One of their pranks is putting gunpowder into a teacher's pipe, so it blows up in his face and disfigures him. Fun times. The Tiger Lillies did a tour based on these books. It's great stuff, check it out Also, here is a pretty accurate representation of how it was to hear toe story of little suck-a-thumb as a kid Anyway, about the fairy tales. I live in that place, Why the fuck didn't I hear about it in the news?
I enjoyed the one about elf rape.
The one written by Ryu-Gi? :v:
The witch then lies on her stomach and drinks all the water, swallowing the young girl, who uses a knife to cut her way out of the witch
Badass.
what's that even about.?
How fucked up German people are. On another note, someone should copyright these immediately, and make arrangements so that everyone knows that they won't get sued for using these before Disney eats these.
On another note, someone should copyright these immediately, and make arrangements so that everyone knows that they won't get sued for using these before Disney eats these.
What are you talking about? These are public domain since forever, there's no point on copyrighting them unless you want to be a huge dick and milk money out of royalties from things that aren't yours
If law possibly allows disney or anyone else to copyright these, then the law needs to be fucked in the ass. Unless the one who wrote these stories agrees, but I guess that's not possible.
If law possibly allows disney or anyone else to copyright these, then the law needs to be fucked in the ass.
These are surprisingly disturbing and creepy for being fairy tales.
Most fairytales are surprisingly creepy and disturbing. REad the originals from the Grimms. With time we got rewrites and nicer versions though. Disney basically shows us extremely tame versions of the same stories. [editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
If law possibly allows disney or anyone else to copyright these, then the law needs to be fucked in the ass. Unless the one who wrote these stories agrees, but I guess that's not possible.
They're public domain, which means the stories themselves cannot be copyrighted. Only a specific form of their reproduction can. Let's say a release a book with them and have the copyright on the book. You can't make a direct copy of the book and sell it as your own, but you can make your own with the content. Also it depends when and how they'll be released obviously. You can expect linguists to get first picks.
If you know anything about the Grimm's fairy tails, you will be prepared for what lied in this vault.
I want the originals, not the puny "edits" people make to make them child friendly.
my first thought was new content for disney which is good because i'd rather see disney go back to animated musicals, princess and the frog was great
I want the originals, not the puny "edits" people make to make them child friendly.
You say it like if it was a bad thing. Don't be so conservative :v:
my first thought was new content for disney which is good because i'd rather see disney go back to animated musicals, princess and the frog was great
God please no. Animated musicals is like watching a music video where music sucks. I love disney movies but the parts where everyone breaks into a song is such a mood killer.
God please no. Animated musicals is like watching a music video where music sucks. I love disney movies but the parts where everyone breaks into a song is such a mood killer.
Except for the lion king. That's one where I can forgive them.
Except for the lion king. That's one where I can forgive them.
While I agree, I'd still prefer if it didn't have that. But that's just me, not a fan of musicals.
The witch then lies on her stomach and drinks all the water, swallowing the young girl, who uses a knife to cut her way out of the witch
so this is where vore comes from
so this is where vore comes from
Red Riding hood is older. Where the wolf eats the the red riding hood and grandma whole. And then forest the man cuts them out and they place rocks into his stomach instead.
The Russian fairy tale movies are awesome too. Guess that's what you get for being born in the UdssR
Ooh, I know that one! Partially, anyways. MST3K did a riffing on that one:
If law possibly allows disney or anyone else to copyright these, then the law needs to be fucked in the ass.
Although, if it was possible, Doom, Spawn, Thor comics and anything with characters from religious texts might not be usable.
Yes, that's why I hope no one can copyright these tales as no one owns them any more. Also Spawn comes from religious texts? I need more info on that.

It's rare to get these. I might even buy the book.
