It's from Power Miners, a sorta spiritual successor to Rock Raiders.
let's be totally frank here, Rock Raiders sets weren't exactly gleaming examples of excellent coloration and design.

its like, green, yellow, brown, and grey
what the shit's going on there?
wow, looking at all the lego batman sets. years ago i used to spend ages looking for them, they were all so expensive. the one thing i had always wanted was a batman minifigure, i might buy one of these sets.
I only ever got the LEGO castle sets. Once had about eighty guys altogether, and I was able to do do a fairly convincing siege. Of course I was like eight so instead of trebuchets they used slingshots and instead of horses they rode dinosaurs. Otherwise it was 100% realistic.
Honestly even now I wouldn't be entirely opposed to buying a few castle sets and setting up a little diorama. But my fiancee would never speak to me again if I did that.
If this leads to the inevitable Lego Simpsons games...very yes.

ugh, the colors..
I read that's based on ideas around real mining vehicle colors. Having them more bright makes them easier to see in the dark of a cave tunnel. Or something.
Also, that's somebody's custom model, not one of the sets.
Honestly I don't like Lego's approach the past few years. They have such a hard on for licensed themes, which goes against Lego's philosophy in my honest opinion. Most of these sets have proprietary and unique pieces that pretty much just go with that set, which makes it hard build it another way. Their current idea seems to be "build the set according to the instructions and be done with it"
there have always been sets for Lego. Of course they still sell the usual stuff, but you never hear about it because it isn't exactly new!
How do you expect them to take any other approach? You have all the basic blocks already

I got the Joker Funhouse and Lex Luthor Kryptonite Suit.
Both are incredibly well made, highly recommend them.
But my favorite set will always be my Home One, complete with Admiral Ackbar and A-Wing.

They've certainly got enough characters.
If they do release these, they should brand the boxes with Blocko instead of Lego.
My only gripe with LEGO is how pricey they are. I don't know how much they overprice but my family is poor and as a child I only had a few legos that would barely fill half a shoebox (I know, I stored them there). It would be nice if they were a bit cheaper and more accessible to children as they do help develop logic and creativity. You possibly can't go more creative than lego when it comes to children. Unlike drawing or sculpting it doesn't require technical skills so it's perfect. But damn that price.

I'm not too sure it would. IIRC, The Simpsons Game was supposed to be the last one. On the other hand, they had a sequel that got cancelled and there's that mobile game they made, so...

I think the colors work really well together because they are so subtle, more than a bunch of overly neon/saturated bricks
Lego monster fighters are awesome.

Its always such a surreal experience When i see this kind of thing in lego, like, i can actully feel a younger instance of myself wanting it, and it makes me want to buy an assload of lego even though i dont really have any desire to play with it anymore.

They're already coming out with a new Mindstorms set, called the EV3.
