Everyone should have health insurance, it's not like we don't already do the same thing with cars. I might as well be driving this body around, just as I do with a car.
Everyone should have health insurance, yes, but let them pay it themselves for fucks sake.
I'm surprised Georgia isn't on that list yet but yeah my government teacher was talking about how the states could refuse to use it which is a good thing in my opinion because by our constitution, national controlled healthcare is unconstitutional.
national controlled healthcare is unconstitutional.
Yeah, that damn Medicare that everybody loves, so unconstitutional. Lets get rid of it. Your teacher is a fucking idiot, federal law supersedes state law, and unless expressly given the option, states can't arbitrarily decide not to follow federal laws.
Health Care isn't the same as Health. Health Care is a service, and you can't force other people to provide a service to you for free. However, you can keep yourself healthy all you want.
You can randomly become unhealthy at no fault of your own. So yes, healthcare should be considered a human right.

Also you're right about Federal law but by that logic the Federal government could do what ever they want to the states. Also I saw a survey recently saying that over 40% of doctors said they would quit and do something else if it passes.
If we prevent large companies from buying other companies across state lines then that will fix that problem.
And you call yourself a republican/reagenomicist? Doesn't work that way 13 year old sport.

As for the legislation, I would be for national health care yet I don't think this bill is good enough. Maybe in a few years when we have a more moderate POTUS might we see a better bill be presented. More emphasis on Congress in the next few years as well, we need more senators/representatives that are more willing to debate the issue rather than conforming to party ideals.
I think that's what I said, but I'm tired.
Horrible excuse.

The bill doesn't take over shit. And it's incredibly hypocritical to call the current bill unconstitutional for being a government takeover when Medicare monopolizes health insurance for everyone old enough to qualify. Glenn Beck + FreedomWorks pamphlets =/= the truth.
Then why are you settling on bullshit if you want a single-payer option? Have you not considered how counterproductive the current system will be? Do you just not realize that rolling over is going to get you nowhere?
because he isn't a fucking politician. He isn't a congressman, he's not a president, he's not a voice in politics so what can he do but settle on what's closest to what he wants? if I was in fucking politics, I would push for universal healthcare this plan WAS good until it was gutted. But it's better then nothing. So saying he's wrong for settingling, being a fucking teenager, is an asshole thing to do
This is America. We all have a voice in politics. We have sparklies.
This is America. We all have a voice in politics. We have sparklies.
This is true. You can't push legislation through in Canada like you can in the States. It's more individualistic. [editline]10:09PM[/editline] We have better sparkles though.
This is true. You can't push legislation through in Canada like you can in the States. It's more individualistic.
Canada has a significantly smaller population than the US, it's not really a fair comparison. Also, I'm guessing Canadian laws don't allow corporations to spend their profits running campaign ads for their favorite candidates.
Neither does the US. It's cool how you can't read.
Neither does the US. It's cool how you can't read.
It's cool how you jam your head in the sand and don't have a clue what's going on in the actual world around you.
Lankist is right dogg. Like always.
I reside in Idaho.
It's cool how you jam your head in the sand and don't have a clue what's going on in the actual world around you.
Go ahead and explain to me that particular supreme court ruling. In detail. With references. Since you are so aware you should have no trouble talking out of an orifice other than your ass.

I'm not going to explain shit to you, you'll just stonewall with more and more demands for additional sources and bill numbers and copies of the ruling and semen samples and whatever the fuck else. Go to hell, the rest of the people in the thread know full well what the ruling and it's implications are, and I wasn't even talking to your ass when I brought it up.

Get jackin off in this here cup.
This is America. We all have a voice in politics. We have sparklies.
Most people want the public option whoops guess your theory is out the window.
Oh look it's used car salesman's favorite bullshit tactic: obstinately refuse to source claims and proof arguments and pretend it's for any other reason that you don't have any. [editline]01:27AM[/editline]
Most people want the public option
This is from?
You and "the rest of the people" are wrong.
That's cool, just resort to that.
You and "the rest of the people" are wrong.
Jesus, you really are a self-absorbed douchebag.
That's cool, just resort to that.
That supreme court ruling left direct interaction and collaboration between candidate and corporation highly illegal and an immediate grounds for disqualification. It simply repealed a law that prevented all incorporated groups, even activists, from airing their opinions during election season on the grounds that it would seem a political advert.

Topical polls are not an accurate representation of populist desires. Nor do they represent the gap between the vocal minority and silent majority.
uh
A sample of 1,200 in a nation of 300,000,000 is invariably inaccurate. Additionally it only represents Americans that watch NBC, which are few and far between. A majority of 1,200 Americans in this specific demographic supports the health care bill. A majority of Americans have an unregistered opinion. You need not make such broad claims, as they are unquantifiable.
