I've seen plenty of snakes and never saw any feet.
This is really not that surprising at all, I mean, some (if not all) snakes still have pelvic bones from their ancestors. Some snakes even have tiny legs to this day.

Pretty sure it is. Though the claws/feet are nowadays often called spurs. And this case is probably a mutation. Just like case when there are humans still born with tails. (If you don't know, wikipedia tail)
I'm not saying that they are functional. Hell, they're pretty much as useless to the snake as duck with a third beak or something.

Also I can be totally subjective and say that I worked 2 weeks at an exotic animal store in high school ([url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TET]PRAO/TET[/url]) and seen it myself. But I doubt you'd care.
That's interesting, although I don't think a snake with a spur that big has been discovered. Still pretty freaky.
With a mutation like this, it would probably be uncomfortable as hell crawling around. If he even can manage that.

I'm pretty sure most people would do the same. In the US we'd probably end up shooting it and dumping it in the trash. At least this person preserved the body for future reference
