Also here's some military videos I've found to compare forces Azerbaijan has got this in the bag
implying raw numbers and tech means victory. seriously when you corner a nation's army in their own territory, it could take years to get them out.
And the Azerbaijan defence minister is clearly a neutral source
Well that's the only source we've got, so I'll take it.
"“Present-Day Armenia is, in fact, Historic Azerbaijan,” Says Aliyev. “In the future we will return to our historical lands” "
Ridiculous.
Well that's the only source we've got, so I'll take it.
State owned Azeri news:
Armenia should compensate Azerbaijan for $300 billion Nagorno Karabakh damage Armenia should pay $300 billion to Azerbaijan in compensation for the damage it caused by the occupation of Nagorno Karabakh, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Indonesian Parliament Marzuki Alie said. He made the statement during his meeting with Vice President of International Students Association of Indonesia, Azerbaijani student Elmar Iskandarov, AzerTag news agency reported. He said his country supports the internationally recognized territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of Azerbaijan. Chairman of State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Ali Hasanov said earlier the material damage inflicted on Azerbaijan as a result of occupation of its territories by Armenia has exceeded $300 billion so far.
Azerbaijan isn't happy that Armenia is joining the Eurasian Union.
implying raw numbers and tech means victory. seriously when you corner a nation's army in their own territory, it could take years to get them out.
So much agree. Russia supposedly support Armenia, and even has a military base in Armenia. But that didn't stop the Russians from selling hundreds of modern tanks and artillery pieces of Azerbaijan last year.
Can't the Armenians catch a break? It's only been a hundred years since the autrocities towards them was the even that coined the term 'genocide', and it's still being denied by the nations that did it...
going to be a little awkward at the Olympics knowing most americans will be ignorant
Can't the Armenians catch a break? They basically supplied the NKR breakaway state (ethnic Armenians) with weapons and then fought along side them until they won. After that they just straight up occupied almost a tenth of Azerbaijan. It could even be said that NKR is just a front for Armenia to occupy a large portion of Azerbaijan. When Azerbaijan talk about "Armenia" occupying their country, they are talking about the NKR. They don't see the difference - and either does most of the international community. There isn't really any wrong or right here. Both sides simply claim parts of each others countries as part of their territory.
can everybody just stop fighting please.

Apparently last year, Azerbaijan reached their goal of having a military budget larger than the entire state budget of Armenia. I guess they were preparing for this day.
Why do those videos always look like a bunch of people shooting at nothing in a field? also, do these conflicts ever resolve anything? are they ever able to regain lost territory?
Does anyone have a decent map so we can see exactly what the hell this looks like? So far I've only seen the 117 AD one and eh, that's a bit more than outdated.

When you're watching that in a 800x600 window, recorded with a cellphone camera, then the guys being shot at are in cover; that's how it's gonna end up. Pixels are bigger than the dudes. I guess since there's no western relation to this, they don't care.
I guess since there's no western relation to this, they don't care.
justin getting a dui and possibly deported is a week long holiday, get off our backs.
as fucking usual the Western media isn't covering this at all because justin biebers fucking arrest is more important
Covering something like a war declaration is hard. It has to be 100% confirmed

Wait what when did this start? Why have I only just heard about this?
Wait what when did this start? Why have I only just heard about this?
The attack happened tonight
My father is currently working out in Azerbaijan, albeit on the other side of the country For everyone's sake I hope this gets resolved before it gets out of hand
I can't find any news on this whatsoever, you'd think a conflict between 2 fairly modern nations would be reported more.
justin getting a dui and possibly deported is a week long holiday, get off our backs.
haven't seen any reports in any russian media either
The attack happened tonight
Yeah but usually theres a political lead up, like tension or something.
Turkey must really be feeling the heat right now, Syria burning to the south, this burning in the east and Islamic fundamentalists gaining power at home.
Yeah but usually theres a political lead up, like tension or something.
Like three nights ago some of the soldiers battled each other and the Armenians lost one of their own.
Yeah but usually theres a political lead up, like tension or something.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have a long history of hating each other, they don't necessarily need a political tension to fight.
Yeah but usually theres a political lead up, like tension or something.
They've been hating their guts for a long time now apparently. Tensios has been built up all along, it's just that now Azer has great confidence in their Military. From what I understand, anyway.
