Most likely the price increase of the xbox is due to the TV Tuner and the price of licensing for it.

Perfect. Was planning on getting the PS4 since the start but was too worried about it breaking the bank, especially with my low high school student income and bills. I was anticipating it being around $500, but this is a good price for me.

Wow, was also thinking about upgrading the PC once I got cash, but seems like I'll be busy with the PS.

I could tell you guys we would all be dead with in the next 3 days by some terrible new plague and if there was a news article for it everyone would believe it. Journalists are just trying to get hits and any information they can spin they will take. How about we just wait till e3 in a week and stop speculating on every single possible detail.

Both of those prices are actually super competitive. That's going to be a fairly interesting battle yet. And if those prices are true, we can pretty much kiss the WiiU goodbye probably.

Local shops and even the local GameStop employees have complained about the projected price of the Xbox One being worse than the PS3's launch price.

Really amazing pricing if it's true, I would even consider getting both at those prices, but that's impractical for me personally, still an at least viable option.

A good amount of people are forgetting that x86 hardware is much cheaper than the custom Cell or CPU's/Gpu's that prior consoles used. My guestimations are they will both fall in the 300-400 dollar range, maybe a 449 *premium* package

I'd say the finnish price will be around 450€ if this is true. Which isn't too bad considering PS3 was like 700€.
