PETA Plans to Fly Drones That Would 'Stalk Hunters'

PETA is just silly, they're just animals
Humans > Animals
Why do we keep pandas around anyway, they literally do fucking nothing
Nobody gave a shit when the dodo died, did they?
Humans are the dominant life, if we need to kill animals to survive, we should do it. Its how we survived for centuries
Hunting is for food, not animal cruelty
The only solution then is drone hunting. Get out the EMP cannons.
Fuck that, those drones are unarmored. Birdshot.

They don't even do fucking.
OH NO, SOMEONE THINK OF THE POOR PIGEONS
Listen, I like animals as much as the next person - hell, more than the average person, actually, 'cause I love animals - but this is fucking stupid.
They don't just plan to annoy poachers, read the rest of the article
They're going to use these to spy on factory farms?
They do know that a lot of those places have these things called rooves, right?

PETA's retardation knows no bounds, I wouldn't be surprised if they crashed these within a month if they did buy them :v:

Cannot even comprehend how they think this is a good idea, or how they think they can afford enough drones to monitor even a reasonably sized hunting area
By this there logic...if they're willing to kill live animals what is going to stop them from shooting their stupid drones out of the air.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone used it as a moving target within a month, especially if they fly it over private land someone is hunting on.
I dont get it, so they're going to shoot hunters using drones?
Isn't that y'know, Terrorism (Unless the Goverment does it :tinfoil: )

Isn't PETA listen as a domestic terrorism threat?

AFAIK they just want to "monitor" them, what exactly they plan to do with that information I don't really know.
So now I can go hunting AND skeet shooting at the same time?
Isn't PETA listen as a domestic terrorism threat?
Haha no way, actually?
That really got out of hand.
Isn't PETA listen as a domestic terrorism threat?
No, they're listed as knowing to associate with domestic terrorists.
I dunno about most hunters. But like, when I hunt. 98% of the time there is a shit tonne of trees over my head and 100% of the time I'm wearing camo. So how a drone above could see me with anything short of thermal is a mystery.
No, they're listed as knowing to associate with domestic terrorists.
Ah, Though I read about them getting listed as one recently.
Isn't PETA listen as a domestic terrorism threat?
Not sure if PETA themselves are listed, but Animal Liberation Front definitely are (they're the people who break into farms and torch medical research laboratories), which PETA actively supports ideologically and financially.
On topic, I don't see how the animal rights activists could possibly "win" this. The hunters can just keep shooting down the drones with guns with little risk of being caught.
I get this feeling that if they start watching deer hunters they'll connect deer whistles on the bottom of these drones, and fly over deer packs.
Yes, but not every animal has a population problem that needs fixing at any given time.
That's why you're only allowed to hunt certain animals at certain times of the year
good job with your research
Sometimes it seems like they're trying to be satirical about animal rights because they always seem to have these far fetched ideas.

Yea, don't know how it works in other places but in Canada (for deer hunting) you send in for tags. For every tag you get, you can hunt one deer. Whether it's a doe or a buck depends on the tag. Usually you get less doe tags the buck tags.

It also depends on the time of year, numbers of each gender, how far on in the season you are, and what part of Canada you're in, as each province has its own hunting regulations and are often then subdivided into hunting districts. Ontario has somewhere around 100 districts, each with its own subset of regulations.

Also what your hunting with. Blackpowder, bow and rifle all have different times you are allowed to hunt with.
I don't particularly see anything wrong with this. Anyone can freely fly a drone, but they can't stalk someone. So it's in a legal grey zone. What bothers me is that some law maker could either ban, or keep civilian operated drones.
I doubt they'd ban civilian drones just because the PETA are being jizzrags with them. I mean, you still eat meat and wear leather right? I'm also pretty sure most places would be cool with you shooting down a civillian drone that you can prove was following you, might have to pay them damages, but hey, fuck it.
Sounds like a good target practice.

Funnily enough, they would probably end up proving that they were stalking you if they tried to claim damages from you specifically.
"How can you know that it was this one person and not any of the other people in this area?"
"uuhhh"
Also what your hunting with. Blackpowder, bow and rifle all have different times you are allowed to hunt with.
That's part of the regional regulations thing, it's anecdotal to the main point.
All this will do is help hunters improve their aiming.
So nice of PETA.

I don't think so, it proves that hunting is a highly regulated thing, not just white trash goin' out in the woods and shooting everything that moves, like PETA would like people to believe.
I go coyote hunting a few times a year. If I ever see a drone, which I highly doubt I will, I'm going to shoot it down.
What a joke, people should shoot it down for fun.
