The medical and technological advances because of it were pretty hardcore, maybe we wouldn't of had stuff like Radar or Jet Aircraft had WWII not happen.
As much as you'd like to change the past, you might not enjoy the new future as much.
Plus the massive geopolitical shifts may have been less than favorable over time.
its pretty funny how people pretend that hitlers mediocre-to-shit paintings are anything other than mediocre-to-shit to be edgy and cool and have a socially acceptable way to say they like hitler
Your black-and-white mindset is childish.

In 70 years, some maniac's sonic oc's, inflation art, and fetish photos will sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
and people on the internet will debate their quality for ages to come
"Hey, I like this amateur art, despite the fact it's got some wonky perspective issues and other very foundational mistakes, even though it's painted by Hitler."
The above does not make someone a contrarian edgelord. I can like something that isn't perfect, and I can like something from an individual without agreeing with them as a person.
Awful Example: The Doom community admits there's nothing wrong with liking Brutal Doom, even though it's created by an insane sadist/racist who encourages people to commit suicide, and the actual mod itself foundationally fucks with the balance of the game (and also created a new very large following of absolute primoral sludge that plagued the community for awhile.)
Thereby, I can like Hitler's art despite the fact that it's both from Hitler and that it's shit.
When he's not going functionally abstract (fucking terrible) with the perspective and proportions, it's certainly better than what I can currently do. Reminds me a lot of that generic framed stuff you find in old people's homes and thrift shops. I almost want a piece to myself, even a replica, just for the reasons stated on page one.
Speaking of how "bad" some of those paintings are, I wonder how good are the paintings of other painters that they have made when they were 18 years old, and were self taught. His newest paintings were made in 1914 when he was 25. We are not talking about some old painter, with decades of experience or someone with academic background.
Just because he was self-taught it doesn't automatically make his paintings better, they're still only remarkable because Hitler did them.

Unlike 'artists' today you can't simple erase what you did on the computer and fix it.
Hitler was not a technically great artist.
Some of these paintings are pleasing to the eye.
Hitler was a genocidal maniac.
Shut the fuck up and let people enjoy what they enjoy jesus CHRIST.

I don't believe hitler was a genocidal maniac.
He never really killed anyone by his own hands.
Those under his rule were more so the maniacs. Hitler was simply a very smart and cruel politician.

You know I kind of believe something vaguely similar (except hitler definitely knew what was happening and that makes him responsible) except stop trying to start arguments please

Imagine Dobson becoming the tyrannical dictator of a small country. Dear lord.
A guy I personally know owns a few of Hitlers drawings, most famously being the ones of Disney characters.
He also owns a couple of other of Hitlers possessions, such as his loupe. All part of his WW2 museum.

There were certainly ways of erasing, and there were certainly ways of planning out a picture with a sketch on beforehand.

That shit was probably traced I mean come on.
so why the fuck do you gush over adolf hitler's shitty paintings instead of the generic paintings you find at a thrift shop?
if they just "look nice" and have nothing to do with the fact they were painted by adolf hitler, why don't you have more generic old paintings of buildings sitting around? why don't you gush over those?
I look at Hitler's paintings and think "They're pretty good" just as I look at thrift shop paintings and think "They're pretty good". They're not absolutely-stunningly amazing or out-of-this-world brilliant - they're just pretty good.
You make it sound as if there's no middle ground, either you suck shit or you're fucking fantastic, and you act as if it's impossible for people to like all kinds of art. You're being extremely pedantic.

Perhaps he just doesn't like Hitler for some reason.

Self-portrait?
I like how everything is signed A. Hitler.
It's like it's stating a fact. "Yep, this was indeed made by a Hitler."
I will say, I like his color palette choices. Very calming, surprisingly.
To think if they let him in the entirety of WW2 may have been avoided
I hear they have some of the easiest entry requirements in the world now.
This never made much sense to me. Apparently he wasn't good enough but you'd think him not being good enough is the entire reason he should be at an academy in the first place?
Tons of art academies (including conservatories) require a basic level of skill when someone applies. They want to educate people who have some basic level of proficiency to ensure the students that graduate adhere to at least some standard. If someone wants to learn without that requirement then they have plenty of other options. It makes perfect sense IMO.

I miss the days when REAL artists like hitler made REAL art, none of this pc generated bullshit like miki minaj and lil wayne if either of those painted I didn't bother to do any fact checking beforehand
I heard one of the main criticism was that he wasn't that good at drawing living things.
That's why he made them into dead things, duh.
I'd buy this for the sake of having a painting made by one of the worst mass murderers of the world hanging on my wall.
I think he was one of the best mass murderers actually
I think he was one of the best mass murderers actually
Hitler was above-average at best. Stalin and Mao are top-tier mass murderers, and I feel they should be recognized more for their efforts.
